RE: tv antenna

You should need nothing. Mine works fine with the standard antenna.

Experience with PPL - Houston

We are trying to find a dealer to sell our RV and possibly to buy another from.
Does anyone have experience buying from or selling through PPL in Houston?

RE: Tivo movies

Unless something has changed, you don't download movies onto Tivo, you simply record them from your signal - Like a vcr only much nicer and automated.

RE: TV antena's on campers

You don't need another antenna for digital. The one you have should work fine. I get digital and HD on my old batwing antenna.

We really liked it. The view of the Arch is great. The campground is clean and well run. We always felt very safe.

RE: Grand Tetons RV Park

Because Yellowstone National Park is so big and requires a lot of driving to get around - inside the park, you may want to consider staying inside the park at Fishing Bridge. It has full hook-ups, but is basically a parking lot. While we were there, Bison could be seen wandering through the RV park on occasion.
Grizzly is a nice park and is just outside of the park.
Colter bay is a nice full hook-up campground inside Grand Teton NP. You can walk to the lake and the sites are a good size. It is in the trees so a satellite signal is probably not likely.

RE: Rv Satelitte's King Dome, Winegard, TracVision, Etc...

I have a Winegard now (dome) that replaced another Winegard that I had before. I have been happy with them.
I don't know what "card" you refer to. My dishes have no "cards". The sat. receiver has a card, but that has nothing to do with the dish.

RE: Internet on the road

We use the wi-fi at the RV parks.
We have been able to stay in parks with wi-fi the vast majority of the time.

RE: New Tires

I replaced my F-550 tires last year with Michelin. They are expensive, but imho, worth the money.
I searched on the internet and found a special and had them shipped to my house. It was a little extra trouble, but saved some money.

RE: Campground near Grand Tetons

We like Red Rock in Island Park, Id. It is about 20 miles from West Yellowstone. It is spacious and quiet.
If you only have a week or two, stay in the Park - Fishing Bridge has hookups. Yellowstone is so big and requires so much driving, that being in the park is a big advantage.
Likewise in Teton - Colter Bay.

RE: Narrows Too RV Resort, Maine

We spent summer '07 there.
They were just finishing the renovation when we arrived. We were very happy with it.
Ocean View is Ocean view, but not open ocean. You are on the Narrows - similar to intercoastal waterways. You can kayak directly from the campground since the water is calm.
The sites are a nice size. We have a 35' 5er and F-550 and had enough room.
It is 6-7 miles to Wal Mart another 2 to Elsworth shopping (grocery), 12 miles-ish ( 20 minutes) to Bar Harbor, a little less to Acadia NP.
There is a Lobster pound across the street.

RE: Questions about Narrows Too in Bar Harbor

As provided Bar Harbor is about 20 minutes or so by car.
I gave mileages the other way toward Elsworth ( better day to day shopping than Bar Harbor).

RE: I want to BACK UP my Iphone contacts, NOT synchronize...

Iphone is designed to be synced with your computer. You can then back up your computer to an external hard drive.
You really need to sync iphone with your computer.

RE: Questions about Narrows Too in Bar Harbor

We were not waterfront, but were close. Our wi-fi was fine. Not the best I've ever received, but it worked fine.
If I remember correctly it was 7 miles to Wal Mart and then maybe 2 more into the grocery stores, etc.
There is a lobster pound directly across the street and the shuttle stops at the campground.
I received no satellite when I was there ( we have a small dome dish).
