RE: T-mobile announces new No contract data plans

I bought my TMobile sim card on Ebay, and pay by the month no contract with T Mobile for a couple months now. I must be missing something. I also stick in an H2o sim card in my unlocked phone, and use their network which really uses ATT's network. I've been trying all kinds combinations trying to find something I like. I've been sticking with T Mobile because it uses my home WIFI when my signal bars disappear, because I'm out in the sticks where I live.

RE: Million Mile Chevy Duramax LBZ

Nice story. I'm getting excited about hitting the 100k mark soon on my Dodge, I have to drive it more I think. This should definitely be my last truck.

RE: I swapped my ride over the weekend...

I fully agree M GO BLUE. I ran all my numbers prior to purchasing the new TV. Although our plans are to go with a larger TT, we are not going too crazy on the size upgrade. The TT we are looking at has a max GVWR of 8600. The payload of the new F150 (with maxtow package) is 1,870#, with a tow rating of 11,100#. We are on a seasonal site now days, so my towing will mainly consist of taking the camper to/from its covered winter storage location to the CG. Good to see you already knew that...some don't realize that (same thing happened when the Hemi engine came out)... Have fun with the new TT!Really have to watch inflated rating numbers too. My old 96 10k rated 3500Dually handles my 5er in wind and bad road conditions much better than my 13.5K rated 2500 hands down. It was much more truck than my newer Dodge. All those high ratings are good for longevity , but if your truck's not heavy enough, road and wind conditions will let you know soon enough.

RE: Diesel MPG?

The new trucks have to burn more fuel to clean up the environment.LOL

RE: Manual transmissions...will they be gone in a few years ?

Younger generations don't even know how to shift a manual, unless they have an app. on their Iphone for it.

RE: Chevy vs. Dodge

I wanted something I could work on if I needed too, so I bought the Dodge, reminds me of my old Dodge slant six I had in my first truck.

RE: Michelins.. ouch!

I haven't bought a new set of tires in ten years. My last set of Michelins cost me $400, with 5k miles on them, and I enjoyed them for another 50k miles.

RE: Four wheel drive or two wheel drive?

I bought 4x2 this time around, I RV and boat, and still keep on trucking. You get stuck with a 2wd, you get pulled out rather easily. If it's 4x4 and your stuck, your probably in trouble. If you know your vehicle capability's, you shouldn't get stuck.

RE: IPOD Touch battery replacement?

I repair a couple a month, the videos lie, and the tools they send you are a joke, and can't release the clips at all. If you destroy it, send it to me, I have all the parts in stock for the 2-4 gens..I can even repair any damage you do to the circuit board when you rip the connectors off the board if your not careful, but it's better if you don't get that far. If you don't get that battery lying just right, when you snap it closed, you'll ruin the LCD from the back side, and you'll have all kinds of colors on the screen.I'm Level 3 trained now, and I can say phones are much easier to disassemble then the Touches, I don't like those snap together deals.

RE: Best coverage, AT&T/Verizon?

Depends on which version you have GSM/CDMA/or just Wifi version. If it's like a phone, you can dial *#06# and it will give you a IMEI number if it's a GSM (ATT) carrier, if not it should be a CDMA (Verizon). Verizon does have world phones that have sims cards, but I don't know about any world Pads. LOL

RE: New Chevrolet and XM radio

I wait until the last week of service, and then say I want to cancel, and when they ask why , and I say I'm broke . Then they offer me all the 50% off deal, and I say hold on have to ask my wife, then few seconds later I say go ahead. Works every time.

RE: Let's play "where is the diesel pump?" game

It's the pump where some gasoline car is parked infront of, when their are plenty of open gas pumps.

RE: My Ram is in the hospital

That's just getting the bugs out of it. Know how many I did PDI's on when I worked for GM, that had problems before they could go from the carrier truck to the lot, probably 3 out of 5. Any thing from vibrations, unplugs electrical connectors, leaks, fuel gauges not working, caps under the hood missing, bent pulleys, rubbing exhaust systems on the frame, missing bolts,etc.,etc.. A bad line is one of the easier fixes, feel lucky. :)

Can't go wrong, if you don't like it, sell it, and make a few bucks off it.

RE: Another one bites the dust!

Something about this story from the OP sounds fishy... Dropping a valve is something I never heard happen on the 6.0 psd. Now I've heard of Cummins dropping valve seats causing some nasty catastrophic failures! Dropped valve I'll let you supply a link to your second statement. No problem: Cummins Valve Seat Failure Cummins Valve Seat Failure #2 Cummins Valve Seat #3 Cummins Broken Valve Seat #4These failures are from not watch your EGT's with a tuner. You'd be darn lucky to ever see one in a stock tune.Heat installs the seat, and heat takes it out too.

RE: Changing your rear-end...gears!

It's the engine's emissions and tune. Modded Duramaxes with 600hp can get 23-24 unloaded, imagine pretty good mileage loaded. A diesel engine is super efficient before all the Cr*p is added to it.
