RE: interesting, mini van and a 31 footer

I just dropped in to see what could possibly be interesting about a mini van and a trailer. The way photos can be doctored now days, I don't believe any of it. Please carry on :R

RE: Royal Purple

Why even try to justify it? I've driven trucks with over 600,000 miles on them and they only had Delo 400 15-40 in them.

RE: Exhaust brakes need for 2006 F-350?

It is my understanding (which isn't very much on this topic) that a true exhaust (Jake) brake has to be included at factory while engine is being built. Is this correct? If so what is the main difference between "factory" and add on exhaust brake? Google Jake Brake for all the info ;)

Tow a Jeep behind?

Anybody tow their Jeep behind the TH? We want to take 2 quads and the Jeep. Currently, wife drives the Jeep while I tow our small TT with one quad in the PU. Thoughts?

RE: The effects of uncontrolled sway.

Pretty obvious this accident was caused by excess speed for conditions. Conditions include driver competence, weather, equipment, and speed. Speeding up only made this crash more violent.

RE: Exhaust brakes need for 2006 F-350?

I would suggest that you consult your Ford dealer service Dept.. Exhaust brakes on 6.0's have been known to bend exhaust valves. Isn't that something?

RE: Exhaust brakes need for 2006 F-350?

You won't regret adding an exhaust brake. If you've never used one, just go test drive a new Dodge on a hill you are familiar with. Have fun.

RE: Help with Warranty Decision

Tell the dealer this: "If you ever mention the warranty again, if you bring it up again, if you spend even 10 more seconds or 10 more words trying to sell it to me, I will nix the entire trailer deal and walk out." That applies to lots of things. Good 1 :B

RE: Thinking about double tow.

Being legal and all, and confidant in my equipment and abilities, why not? The fun you can have with the boat and TT combined with just one trip....priceless :C Enjoy.

RE: Relationship Between Wheelbase and Max TT Length

Absolutely, a firm guide line is weight. Length really doesn't matter except as mentioned, length usually equates to weight and wind effect. If you are good weight wise, you compensate for poor handling characteristics of short wheel bases by driving slower. Good luck.
