Though I was hoping for a different answer, I am afraid that you are correct.
No idea who the mfg of the current unit was, they were not proud enough of it to put their name on it, but it appears that current RVP units have eliminated the top access for both supply and return ducts that I require.
I guess I go north to avoid need of a/c, rearrange everything on roof to accommodate rooftop units, create an elaborate duct manifold to install two roof top units in space allocated to the basement unit, all of which are not good options.

I need a list of basement a/c manufacturers currently making/selling basement a/c. All/any mfg please, because I am looking to replace a model no longer in existence.
