RE: Grain Free Dry Dog Food

Renee,
I see you have already switched dog food, but FYI you might want to read this article and see you have made the right decision. I switched also and now feed Natural Balance Duck and Potato to my Golden. Here is the link:

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

I am a regular reader of this forum, but have only posted a couple of times...so I am more of a "lurker". I have been following the "saga" of Wolfie and reading all the posts, comments and suggestions that Carol has been given. It is obvious that there are some very smart and knowledgeable pet people on this forum, some more than others. So here is my objective observation about Wolfie and his "issues". I do not dispute that Carol has some great credentials in training dogs, however, she has posted some pretty graphic stories about the things this dog/wolf has done. I think she needs to stop defending her credentials and accept the suggestions that she has been given. It sounds like she is more upset for being criticized when she should be open to any and all help she can get for Wolfie. I feel that it is his well being and situation that is more important than her feeling that she has been "raked over the coals" by someone. If I had an animal like Wolfie I would certainly be open to accepting help with this very special animal and not be so defensive when it is given. I think Code2High had some great insight and suggestions about Wolfie and how to help him. Carol reached out to the forum for help and suggestions, but she seems to always have an excuse or reason that "won't work" for Wolfie. I have known people in other situations that come to me for help with a problem, but they really don't want help, they just enjoy playing the victim and not solving the problem. Carol, you did ask for help with Wolfie, and you have been given some great ideas...please use them. Everyone can't know everything about dog behavior, esp. if the dog is part wolf, and it has become apparent that Wolfie needs the attention of someone that knows how to work with this kind of animal. However, I think you will continue to "cry wolf" instead of trying to solve the problem.
