Moved from Fifth Wheels
I was getting ready for a spring trip and cleaning all the winter grime off the awning and found a hole. Looks like maybe a spark from one of the last campfires burned a small one half inch diameter hole thru the vinyl. Any ideas how to repair the hole? I sure wouldn't want to replace the awning as it is only one year old, but would like to fix it so I don't have the rain dripping in.
Hope you guys or ladies have some good ideas.

Vinyl tape...
You can get it at auto repair shops in many colors. I fixed a tear (about three inches) in an awning with it. Blended right in and was never a problem.

awning manufacturers offer repair kits with material and all needed items to patch a vinyl awning. There are assorted colors available. Jack.

Don't have any holes in mine (yet) but this info is good to know. Never really thought about it either. Thats what I like about this forum. Full of information.

They may vinyl repair kits that come with color mixing kits. These kits contain a clear liquid that you mix colors with, to get it to match. Then a "heating iron" to cure the compound. They work quite well for holes, but don't do much for tears....Pat

Haven't had a hole yet, but we did have a weak or thin area caused by opening the screen door with the awning out... or maybe by the wheel on the door on a really hot day, not sure..
We used a repair kit from an air mattress (the fabric kind, not thin, slippery plastic) to reinforce it on the wheel area, just in case..
