I just purchased a motorhome and am looking for RV storage in the North Orange County or South Los Angeles County area.

Dioes anyone have any spots and how much they cost?

You should try here El Toro Marine Base .They have 2700 sites and have openings on a regular basis. The prices depend on what size space you need. There are a couple of members that store their rig there.

If you are retired military of civil service, the Weapons Station in Seal Beach also has a stowage lot.

The former El Toro Marine Base is a possibility but I think they have a waiting list, and even if you get in it will probably not be a permanent solution. The fate of that property is still undecided but in all likelyhood it will eventually become shopping malls and housing developments.

Here are a couple of other lots that may or may not have space available:

Irvine RV Stg. 6653 Barranca Pkwy Irvine 949/450-0450

Sand Canyon RV Stg. 6401 Oak Canyon Irvine 949/559-8332

The fate of El Toro is stil an unknown. If and when they decide who to sell it to, there is still environmental issues that have to be addressed. As an example, look at Tustin Marine base. It was closed years ago and nothing has been built there yet. In any case, El Toro will still be there in 5-7 years.

Yes, they do have a waiting list but the turnover is pretty good. A lot of people come in and rent a space for a couple of months and then hit the road again. I was told the wait might be a couple of weeks. I think someone on this board got in within a week.
