What are the pros and cons of this?
I hate the way carpet wears and gets dirty fast,my older Prowler has Linolium under the carpet all through the TT under the carpet,it is like when they built it before doing anything else they put down linolium and then carpet, are all TTs this way?
My 2000 Dutchmen I haven't checked to see it it has linolium all the way through, but I hope it does.
I just would like the option to tear out the carpet if I want to..Thanks

Our Coachmen has carpet runners that match the carpet. When it gets dirty we throw them in the washing machine. 3 washings and we replace them.

We just got back from the beach. Linoleum is awesome. A quick sweep and the floors are clean.

I will never do carpet again.

I have seen some used trailers that looked perfect except for the dirty carpet. It seems that there is no good way to keep carpets in an RV from getting dirty. I ripped out the carpet in my new-to-me Airstream and put down Pergo in the kitchen/living area and vinyl in the bath. I might try to find some self-adhesive or interlocking carpet squares for the bedroom, since the space is small and it would be hard to find rugs to fit.

Lino is great, easy to clean but my problem has been with kids tracking small pebble/bits of rock, they tend to tear/scratch/gouge the linoleum. Next time I would go with a better quality of Lino so I dont have to keep at them to ensure they wipe their feet on a carpet mat before coming in. My original carpet only lasted a season! Good Luck

Both have pro's and con's
If you have cheap Linolium, I worry about the small rocks that always come into the RV while camping, they can dig into the Linolium very easily or scatch the wood floor. We have an upgraded Linolium and so far so good, also have the carpet, and since there is not very much of it. It can easily be cleaned at the begining of each camping season, with a rental carper cleaner from the super market, should not take long at all to clean.

A king size bed sure beats tent camping, not as young as I used to be, that ground sure got hard

We prefer lino, mainly because we have dogs and it's so much easier to clean. Our current MH has lino in the kitchen, dinette and hallway. Livingroom is partially carpeted and the bedroom fully carpeted. Although it looks nice (for now) and makes it feel a bit warmer, we wish there was no carpet in the livingroom at all. You can always add a few scatter rugs which are easy to clean or replace as needed.

We were told that there is lino underneath.

I have Linoleum and love it. I put carpet runners down so it has the feel of being carpeted. But like a previous poster said...when they get dirty you can just chuck them and get new for not much money. That way the floor will always have a new look to it.

Hi: When I redid my older TC, I put outdoor carpet over the old linoleum and found it worked well. The TT is linoleum and sure is better around sand and water, since it is easy and quick to clean up. Bill
