We're on our 2nd TT, and both had part carpet/part vinyl. We both prefer the ease of vinyl cleanup, but the warmth of carpet. A savvy RV'er suggested carpet runners, and we were able to find one that even matched the interior! Spending less than $25 gave us an easy-to-clean runner with the added ease of vinyl flooring underneath!
And, like several mentioned, I'm still looking at replacing the small piece of carpet in the bedroom. It's a good winter project.

We have linoleum and throw rugs. Works great. You can buy throw rugs to cover the entire floor. Throw them in the washing machine. Leave them out at the beach because some kind of little sharp bur gets in them. But the wood floor sounds good too.

We have carpet in our TT and use a throw rug at the enterance. A good quality "astroturf" type mat to wipe feet on outside the camper is a must. We also have an outdoor rug for extended stays at sandy campgrounds.
I like the carpet just fine. It is low nap and I use my carpet shampooer/cleaner machine on it at least once a season. It looks great and we don't have area rugs scattered all about to trip over. DH is handicapped and throw rugs aren't an option with a foot shuffler.
I got a small shop vac to sweep up the floor if it gets too dirty while we are out. BTW, that same small shop vac makes short work of nasty bugs, too! One flick of the switch, and *poof* no more buggie. LOL

I was wondering about changing the carper out to lino around the slide. I saw an 05 that was similar to my TT, but had less carpet under the slide, I think only about 1 foot vs. the normal 3 or so feet from past the slide that the TT comes with. I asked the dealer about it and he said it was just a preference on how much carpet they want to use. Do you all think that we can take out the majority of the carpet and only leave a little for the slide or would we be able to remove all the carpet? Have dogs a Rotti, Lhasso (spelling) and a white german shepherd. Carpet is cleaned after every trip as is the TT, but would like the task to be a little easier. Had Lino in old TT and loved it..wish I had it in this TT.
Have a safe trip!

We had full carpeting in our old Terry and vowed never to do that again. We now have very little carpeting and the rest Lino. The carpeting that I do have, I used that adhesive clear covering that they use on the new trailers. I then covered it with clear runners that I cut to the exact sizes of the carpeted areas. With kids and dogs I had no choice but to get Lino.

If you have kids or even grandkids, go with linolium. We have it throughout the TT and it sure is nice to sweep it out or give it a quick once over with a mop and be done. No more worries about spills etc.
