I'm having trouble finding an open campground for 1 night near I-80 at the Ohio/ PA border. I have now considered the Flying J in Hubbard,Ohio. Does anybody have any comments on this place? I never stayed at a Flying J. Will I have to disconnect the toad to back into a parking space? can I open my slides?
Any and and all comments would be appreciated.

I have stayed at lots of flying j. Yes to all your questions, but you may have to disconnect your toad to get into a parking spot. I would check inside to see if they do not object to opening your slide. If you do open your slide you will be taking two parking spaces.

I stay at the Flying J at exit 2 in Georgia and the one in Orange TX and I enjoy my stay always. many RV'ers over night at both locations. The food is great, the company excellent and the RV zone is secure.
A big plus is their wireless highspeed internet. For a small charge you can access the internet. I have a MotoSat system however its nice not having to deploy it.

See you on the road and travel safe.

The Flying J in Hubbard, OH is new. It has been open about 1 year. There is a lot of room for RV's to park there. I parked my 40' MH with toad without a problem. Get there early, it is a busy place.

We have stayed at Flying J a few times before, just not that one. Like said... get there early, and only take up 1 RV Parking space. I've pulled into some, and an RV will take 2 spots... it makes it tough for the next RV to get around you or find an available space. The food is great!

Bill, we live about 5 miles from Hubbard, and the FJ there is new, clean, and big. You should have no trouble. They have propane, diesel, water, and dump. It is right off I80, just north of the highway. Have fun.

I just checked the fuel cost today at Flying J in OH.
7 in the State. Hubbard has the lowest gas price of all, but the highest Diesel price of the 7.

I'm far from cheap, and would not mind paying just about any price for a decent campground. The problem is- I can't find one open in that area. I was thinking about the KOA in Mercer,PA, but I was told by another member that it is a tight squeeze for bigger rigs and a lot of trees to maneuver around. I realize it's only for one night, but I haven't heard anything positive about it.
Thank you all for the replies, and if you have anymore suggestions- let me know.................Bill

I just deleted two posts from this thread due to flaming and off-topic.

Vegas1 did seek the services of a campground in the area. However, many northern campgrounds are closed from late fall until late spring. Thus, the need to find an alternate place to stay for the night.

Folks, please read the entire lead post.

Thanks.
