This is just to keep the members of the board updated on some of the problems that several of the NuWa owners were having. I took the time to contact and have a meaningful dialog with Mr. Mike Mitchell, owner of NuWa Industries. As I thought, and everyone on this forum should realize, there are TWO sides to every story, and we were hearing only the one side. After listening to two sides, I have an appreciation for both parties concerns and actions. I do know that NuWa has very solid concerns for its product and reputation, and as such is going the extra mile to try and satisfy all parties, while maintaining its integrity and business ethics. As one of the 5th wheel owners has already said today, NuWa contacted them about what was said and what the problem is on their coach. Another of the owners was contacted earlier and their problem is being worked on, while the third party, Mr & Mrs Ken Just, should also see some fruitful results to their problem within the near future.
During our conversation, I also gleaned alot of useful industry information, that I'll post on the forum later on. This is info on sizes and weights that have been discussed recently on the forum. The answers are very enlightning and should open a few eyes.
I want it understood, that I do not work for NuWa Industries, nor do I have a NuWa RV. I just felt that somewhere there was a communication breakdown, and it appears that was possibly the case. Hopefully, as the disgruntled owners report back that NuWa has come up with a good ending, we will all see that NuWa is the pinnacle of RV standards, as we all thought.

Personally, I don’t think that it ever should have went that far with of them You didn’t have to be a rocket scientist to clearly see that their was multi problems. It should have never made it past their quality and control.
What about the others, what they were told in the beginning of their escapade.

My problem is this, and it can happen with any manufacturer why do buyers have to resort to these kinda things before things get fixed. Just think of the things that were going on before Al Gore invented the internet. I bet people were taken to the cleaners with no way out.
Do we have to resort to these kinds of things before a manufacturer honors their warranty.

Bob, what did he tell you. Especially concerning the responses the three owners got concerning their problems. It still looks as though the members had to voice their complaints on this forum before finding relief.

floridacamper, I firmly believe that the fixes were already in the works by NuWa. The owners just hadn't given the manufacure the time needed to come up with all options. I know that from talking to Mr. Mitchell, that this method of trying to force a manufactures hand, could backfire at times. No manufacture, is going to be run roughshod by a few misdirected comments. I also found that most of the manufactures do monitor this forum, not so much for problems like this, but for all the mis-information that some of our members propagate, as the whole truth. As I said, I will post some eye opening information that has recently been put out and was not correct as posted on the forum.

Well do not underestimate the power of this site!! I had a problem resolved with Newmar that I do not think would have been taken care of without the input of this site. Of course I did give Newmar every chance to step to the plate (they did finally and in spades) and never flamed them. But I did strongly state my belief that a unit of their reputation should not have cracks in the side walls. They still did not start getting interested until I E-mailed the link to my thread and they saw that over 800 people had viewed it in about 9 days!! I also think the fact that I already had a total of 7 contacts with Newmar before I posted on here showed them that I was trying to work with them! Of course I was looking for help on a unit that was 4 years old and only had a 1 year warr on it. So it came out good for me. You should only use this site as a "last resort" because if it turns into a flame site then none of the manufacturers will pay any attention to it as "everyone knows it is a flame site"!

Bob,

Thanks for taking the extra step and looking into this further. I think you have confirmed what I thought all along. There are two sides to every story and no one is perfect. Since you are not a NuWa owner you have a special position credibility here that some of us owners don't have. I for one greatly appreciate what you have done. One-way dialogs rarely if ever accomplish much. This forum has power and we all need to remember to use it wisely.

Since I own a NuWa product I am very interested in the outcome of Ken's issue. Clearly his trailer was not their best effort and the attempt to repair it didn't go as anybody hoped for.
I am pleased to hear that a a resolution is coming. I just hope we get an honest follow up and report on the forum.
NuWa took some pretty harsh comments, and if they do "step up to the plate" and deliver they deserve to get their name cleared.

Mike Mitchell CEO of NuWa reported in a recent issue of HH magazine that he reads this forum on a regular basis. I for one am glad he does. To me it speaks volums that he cares about what his customers and others think about his products. I beleive NuWa is very committed to customer satisfaction. How they resolve these issues will confirm that for me one way or the other.

I also am happy to report that I did not have any of the issues that other have had. My Premier has met my expectation. Some small issues but they were or will be corrected.

This was my first fifth wheel and I bought a HH because they have a good reputation with owners and people that repair trailers. So far I have not been disapointed.

One of the posters implied, in a knowing way, that perhaps negative comments or bashing might be counterproductive with the mfr., in particular NuWa.

My impression in reading Ken's material is that he has a significant problem and has, over time, directly with NuWa, dealers and others, attempted to explain the problem and get it fixed. These problems were on a new unit and spanned both time and repair attempts.

My impression further was that Ken's ablity to communicate, sans pictures, was a little less than perfect and that might have impacted the quality of the responses he got (or didn't get).

Mfr's and dealer's customer svc reps need to understand that when one buys one of the Mfr's/dealers's offerings, there is no sign outside the Mfr's/dealer's facility stating that one has to be able to effectively communicate in order to be eligible to buy one of the products. As long as you have the $$, they're willing to smile, pretend they are interested in you and most of all they're willing to sell to you. IMO, he should receive the same speedy, personalized, 'total satisfaction' remedy to his problems as others without having to resort to sweet talking.

As far as any mfr. having a problem with negative comments on a forum such that 'it may backfire', I would remind them that I don't hear complaints from them when there is praise for their products.

It is somewhat unsettling for a Newbie like me to see manufactures get their dirty laundry aired on this site without hearing the company’s side also. I understand the frustration for the fiver owners when a company gives you the run around but would like to see more of us post follow-ups to earlier posted issues with warranty work. I know I was treated very well by the folks I bought from when another poster tells a horror story of his purchase from the same people. It also seems somewhat unfair to the forum admin folks to say that posts were pulled because they “flame” a manufacture and the admin guys are somehow beholding to a manufacture. Admin pulled Ken’s post because it had “Lawyer” talk, and this is not allowed. I guess my BLUFF is that for this site to remain such a valuable resource is only attainable by us, the posters, to try to get the whole story out there.

Geez...I just spit coffee all over my keyboard when I read the "pinnacle of RV standards, as we all thought" part. NuWa does some damage control after 'feeling the heat' and now they are the "pinnacle"? Of course there are two sides to every story, and I'm sure Mr. Mitchell makes his 'case' eloquently.
Bottom line, these few on this forum with problems with their NuWa's are NOW getting some service only after going public. NuWa certainly isn't the only one that does business in this manner, however. But I'd like to think there are manufacturers out there that take care of matters like this without having their feet held to a fire (it's a fantasy I have).
