Hi,
We just opened out popup after not using it for two months and found that one side of the bunkends has mold on the top canvas ( they look like black rain spots) but the camper was not wet anywhere and we had tons of rain these past few weeks. Does anyone have a miracle solution that won't harm the canvas? I am surprised the mold is nowhere else but in this one area, the other bunkend is perfect. We have a 2000 Jayco laurel heritage. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!
Thanks****

Is the mold on the inside or outside of the canvas. If it's outside I would set up the trailer and wash it down with a nice carwash solution taking extra care around the moldy area with a brush. If it is inside then you need to use a bucket of soapy water and a gentle scrub brush and clean the area.
There must have been some moisture folded in with the canvas, or perhaps some rainwater leaked in during a storm. If the area is small enough you should be able to clean it like new and be good to go.
Perhaps others may have another home remedy for ensuring the mold is "killed" off.

Has anyone used a liquid fungicide/ mildecide like Consan Triple Action for killing the mildew on a PUP? I use it for my house garden to kill fungus and mildew, just dilute with the proper amount of water and put in a hand or pump sprayer. Other on label uses include use in laundry rinse cycles for disinfection. It seems like it should be safe on waterproofed material.

Do a search on this forum. The "mold question" comes up every month and you will find hundreds of responses. I have responded before with a warning that some people don't realize --- if the mold has been there long enough, you may have a permanent stain. Mold is a living organism that actually will break down the fibers and do permanent damage.
But, think positive and search the PU forum for past responses. I would first try the vinegar soak and Simple Green (undiluted) first before harsher chemicals.
