Has anyone stayed at Seminole State Park in Donalsonville, GA? We are passing through and staying 2 nights to see friends before we head to Topsail Hill. Any comments would be appreciated.

DW and I stayed there in January. The wind was blowing off the lake and it was cold. However, we really enjoyed the park. They have a two mile hiking trail that was very nice. The park was very clean and the staff very helpful. Some of the state parks on lakes are designed for boating, but this park was not. It is a lovely park for a family.
Have fun camping and God bless.

Live close to Seminole State Park and have camped there many times. Would agree with junmy3--a very nice, clean park with many good sights--if not on the water, at least water-view. Hope you enjoy your visit.

Camped there last month. It is very nice. Part of the park was closed for maintance. It's about an hour from our house. Planning another trip there in a couple of weeks. All Georgia Stare parks are nice.
