I just received my A&E slide topper and want to install it on my aluminum trailer. The bracket does not sit flush. Any body with a aluminum trailer have a slide topper?? If so is the bracket flush?? Is the aluminum bent to allow the bracket to be tightened until flush??

Here is link to a picture of the slide topper and brackets on my trailer. Don't know if this helps you or not.

Thanks Larry. On my trailer the bracket is going to go right where the aluminum siding is extruded from the side. Is any of you siding bent to accommodate the bracket?? I could not tell from the photo.

I have a slide topper on my aluminum trailer and the brackets are mounted on the flat of the aluminum. The aluminum is not bent.

Unfortunately my trailer is in storage, but I did look a a higher resolution picture of the side of my trailer and it appears that the brackets are mounted on a flat spot on the aluminum. I don't see that the aluminum is bent at all.
