Well I am taking the advice I received on this forum and going with a Titan hitch. My problem is which do I order? Model number 45012 (Deep drop bumper) or 45008. Both work on F250's. I guess my question is do I have a deep drop bumper? I have a stock ford bumper. Is this a deep drop bumper?
Thanks

I'm not sure, but I believe the "deep drop" is for folks with those very wide custom / aftermarket rear bumpers (Cowboy Bumpers).

If you go to www.etrailer.com and select the hitch option it will list several hitches and the 2 you're interested in are there. Select the "detailed info..." link, then select the installation instructions - Hopefully that will tell you what you need to know. (One of the instruction links wasn't working just now, but maybe it'll be back shortly)

If you have the stock bumper, you do not have a 'deep drop' or 'drop center' bumper. You should be fine with the regular Titan hitch for your truck. A hitch for a deep drop bumper will put the reciever opening a few inches lower than the bottom of the stock bumper. If your truck is tall and your trailer isn't, maybe that could be a good thing, but for most uses, the standard size hitch is fine.
