I am thinking of replacing all my old Aluminum non-stick cookware and with a new set. I am leaning towards a Circulon Elite set(aluminum). I have a couple of pieces of Circulon Elite that I really like. I am looking at Calphalon and Circulon Stainless and Aluminum products..
Since I am starting from scratch I am wondering if the multi-Layered Stainless Steel/Copper sets have better heat characteristics. Should I go with the dark non-stick on the stainless? Are the clear coatings on Stainless non-stick? Do I even need non-stick coating on Stainless?
I am not worried about weight as this will be for home (my best aluminum cookware will go into the 5er)
Thanks in Advance
Dave

the multy layer stainless is good by not non stick but they still clean well not as easy as the aluminum non stick ones, stainless do heat more even then the others and hold the heat longer,

Do you belong to Sam's Club? If so, check HERE for a great deal on a cookware set. If you don't belong to Sam's, get a friend to take you to look at this cookware. We purchased a similar set for the house that was 19 pieces last year, and I liked it so much I went back and bought a second one for the RV. Excellent quality 18/10 SS, very good price, even heating, and clean up is a breeze. I can't imagine you'll get a better set for this money anywhere!

Thanks for the replies Tom and Robert.
I did a lot of research online after I posted my question. I also went to Sam's, Costco, Bed bath and beyond, Linens and Things and a few others.
I decided I would go with hard anodized Aluminum. I searched online and found everyone's prices were the same give or take $5...
I happened to stop by Bed B&Beyond yesterday and saw they had an 8 piece set of Circulon Premier(its comparable to Circulon Elite in quality) on Clearance for $150 I had a 20% off coupon so I got the set for $120 and will watch for sales to fill in my set. I still need a 12" skillet(and maybe a 14") also a 12"(5 quart) covered saute pan.. I still will need a few pieces but with the above I can do 95% of my day to day cooking...
Thanks again
