I hope you southerners have better weather than we do at present. Snowed last night and right now it is a sweltering 14* with a windchill of -3. They say Wednesday it is to be back around 40. This has been a crazy winter up here. Overall it has been a light precip winter and not bad on the temp either.
Have to get an appointment made for the 5er. One piece of the EZ Flex suspension is deteriorating. the factory was really nice to deal with and were going to sent me all new parts just like I had on. I asked about getting an upgrade to the ones with "wet bolts" and bronze bushings. After the gal figured it out I could upgrade from free to 51.35 for the better parts. This was a no brainer. Just have to get someone to put in on for me as the weather is not conducive to doing this task outside.
Have a good weekend and a safe one..........

Dan. The temperature has dropped from 47* to 29* in two hours. The wind is blowing like crazy and tomorrow is to be very cold all day. Glad to hear the folks came through for you on the camper.

I turned the heat on in the camper so that it wouldn't freeze up. I checked just a while ago and it was 54* inside. The temperature is now 24* outside, supposed to be down to 18* by morning. Keep warm and sleep tight, see you in the morning.

This is what we are going through in Nashville. I've got a heater in RV, but drained lines. My main concern in the washer dryer. I have enough heat for it. It will be short and that is the nice thing about being in the south! I don't want to move back to kansas city.

We're transient southerners right now (in Cordele, GA) and it got down to the low 20's last night. We had a warmer winter than this most of January in NW Indiana

Well at least it's only going to be another day or two...

We're planning on going to the Old Fella Rally in June, hope you all can make it.

It was 18* here this morning. In Asheville, NC which is about eighty miles North of us with the wind chill it was -15*. Dr. Doug I hope you are enjoying South Georgia and we look forward to seeing you at the Old Fella Rally in June.

I hope I did enough to keep the camper water lines from freezing. I put electric heaters in the camper and last night before I went to bed I checked to see what was going on in there and it was 54*. I didn't completely drain the hot water heater but I took the pressure off by opening the pressure valve.

When we lived in Waynesboro, Georgia I never, never, never had a problem with the cold temperatures. Last year I lost the battle with the Grand Junction and had a water line freeze and burst. This year I have played the game of not completely winterizing and so far have been able to use the camper. If I loose this year, next winter I will winterize in December and put the camper up until spring. The winters here are a lot different from the Deep South.

The girls went out this morning and didn't stay long. Izzie wanted out but came right back in when he saw how cold it was. Okay, we are going to church and out to lunch so I had better get moving. Have a blessed day.

Doug which of the campgrounds did you stay in while in Cordele, Georgia?

Well it was very cold here again this morning, but there is hope there will be warmer weather coming for the rest of the week. We saw Red Bud trees blooming in South Georgia when we passed through a week ago so that is a sign spring is on the way. We can expect rain tomorrow morning with snow up in the mountains, but that shouldn't have any effect on us. The girls are doing well, looking forward to getting out for a walk, while the old man is still trying to get his feet on the ground and moving. Sue is doing well and is looking forward to her activities that she participates in with the church. She is very active in her exercise class and bible study group.

Today I go to a specialist to see about my shoulder. If he suggest surgery I don’t think I will do that until it gets to a point that I can longer stand the pain. I still haven’t gotten over the ordeal with the many surgeries on my left eye and the bad results that brought me. I wish I could go back to the beginning with that one, bad, bad decision…..

Okay, it is time for me to go. The girls are waiting for me to take them outside for a walk. Mama will start barking soon and walking back and forth to the door saying, “come on Dad, get a move on will ya?”

Good morning, Once again we dodged the white bullet. It never got cold enough to make ice or snow so this morning we have a light rain falling at 39*. The rest of the week looks like warm weather will be making its way to our city. I have scheduled to have some work done in the yard so I am hoping for some nice weather.

Mama and Hobo are going to the vet today to get the yearly shots and then on Thursday I take Suzie and Peaches. Suzie shakes so bad when she goes to the vet. She is so afraid that

One- she is going to get left.

two- she is going to get something she doesn’t want, like a rectal exam or a shot.

She is always looking to me to save her and gets as close to me as she can get. If I hold her she is better and doesn’t shake so bad, Peaches is the same way, so afraid. But we will get through it and they will have their booster shots along with the rabies shot. Mama is so excited about getting to ride in the truck she won’t wake up as to what is going on until we walk into the building, then the brakes come on. Hobo, well Hobo is our special child and she won’t have a clue as to what is happening until she gets the needle. The eyes will open wide, mouth will drop open, tail goes down and where is the door??

River Blu has found his forever home: they are adopting him officially today. I talked to them yesterday, and was told that they are absolutely thrilled with River, that they are amazed that he is fitting in so well, and that he has made himself at home so quickly. He sleeps in a huge dog bed right next to their bed, shares their couch (When both of them are on the couch, he lays between them and alternates putting his head on the two laps). They have a Pembrooke Welsh Corgi (the one without the tail), and they love to play together. Talk about your Odd Couple. Yoda, the Corgi, will walk under River. River's long tail is a dangerous weapon. Yoda has none, but wags his butt. Yoda is fast, but he can’t keep up with River, although he tries. River mostly ignores the cat, and has been very gentle with the 1-year-old baby. They also have a 9-year-old. They say that there is a dog for every family, and a family for every dog, and we have apparently found the perfect match. I will miss him deeply.

BTW, Dash is getting a big head since a GSD won the Westminster Herding Group yesterday. I keep telling him that Best of Show won't be decided until tonight, but he seems to think it's a formality. My money, however, is on the Peke.
