Both measurements puts it in front of the rear axle on my 2003 2500hd. Which I am glad because I am looking at maybe buying a 830 or 861 next year

I'm not all that fond of the front graphics but I really like the ones on the sides

Same here I like the graphics on the sides. I did here of a guy who bought the new 2010 Lance 1685 Travel Trailer and ordered it without the graphics, no graphics at all. I did some searching and found the link http://lance1685.blogspot.com/ I wonder if you ordered a 2010 Lance TC if you can get it without the front graphics and keep the graphics on the sides. Probably be easy to take the front off though

It's 43" from the back, and 35" from the front. That was clearly stated earlier in the thread and verified by two Lance 830 owners.

Just measure back from the FRONT of the box 35". If you end up anywhere over the rear tires, you will be FINE!!! We do not need 7 more pages of this.

It is 43" but its not measured from the taillight, the measurement is from the wing of the camper, very confusing, Stick to the 35" from the front of the camper for general purposes.

I don really like the new graphics, reminds me of a Cadillac emblem..
