Has anyone ever used the Timbren rubber springs. If so do they assist in the rear sag and without load do they influence ride.

No but I have used the Firestone ride-rite bags & really did like them & mostly because when I was MT I only carried 10-20# in them but when loaded that got bumped up to as much as 80#.

Use Timberns on my Durango and yes it helps sag. The Durango rides rougher though when unloaded as there is only one inch gap between them and the axle so bumps are harsher.

Timbrens are great. They are only engaged under load, easy to install, don't leak, and never need to be repaired.

I agree Craig A. I don't want to be in the middle of nowhere and ready to go and find that an airbag line is leaking somewhere. The Timbrens never leak.

Everything CraigA said....and they are progressive.
Also as pnmhos said...rides rougher though when unloaded as there is only one inch gap between them and the axle so bumps are harsher. TRUE but running down the road or around town I don't notice them unless over bumps...it is a truck.
I like them because I don't have to do anything and no possible air leak problems...I'm lazy and like things simple.

I think you get what you pay for.
I have Timbrens, and for the money they are just great, but I do realize that the firestone air bags fully equipped will be better, but how much better I don't know. The total installed cost with compressor, controller, and guages to do it right will be at least 3 times the cost I think.
For me, I really have not noticed a harsher 'unloaded' ride at all, but if it is riding harsher, then I am chocking it up to driving a truck.
The Timbrens are made in Canada, so you may have to pay a bit of a premium as our dollar is gaining on yours very fast this week.

If you do a search you'll find pages of info on timbrens vs air bags.
