I just noticed the 15A inline fuse (in the battery line)on my pop up is very corroded. The terminals have nuts that hold the fuse in line and they are severely rusted over. So much so that I'm afraid to undo them because they may wreck the fuse. My question is can that fuse be replaced with a standard inline fuse kit (like one from radio shack) that uses a standard "blade type" fuse? Or is it something so special that I have to go back to the camper store and pay for real deal?
Thanks in advance for any input.

Probably better off at West Marine or NAPA so you can get a heavy duty fuse holder with weatherproof cap and bigger pigtails.

....and get a small tube of dielectric grease to coat terminal & fuse connections.

PS---you'll get a far better price at Defender Industries marine supply, online.

I've never seen an in-line fuse with nuts. My guess would be that it is an automatic reset circuit breaker, not a fuse. You can get them at most any auto parts store.

beemerphile and yc are correct.
according to my rv dealership it is a resettable circuit breaker. although i don't know how to reset it. what i bought was a 20amp inline blade fuse (typical plastic car fuse) holder (weather resistant) and spliced that into the line. i'll just put a 15amp fuse in it. the dealership said that they would replace it with a 20amp fuse. i didn't like that idea.
i just need to keep a supply of fuses on hand in case i run into a problem. thanks for the help.

Those reset themselves after they cool down a few seconds. They are nice if you have a temporary overload.

Not totally true, the most common automatic ones do reset by themselves. But there are also some that have a button for resetting and others that need the power source removed in order to reset themselves.
