Since there have been a number of comments about Kodiak Super C’s and their limited CCC I finally stopped at a CAT scale to see how close to max weight we are. With two people, a 50lb dog, full fuel, half fresh water, empty grey/black tanks and all of the stuff we can think of for 8 days on the road we were at the heaviest of any of our trips. The ticket read: 6,006 front and 14,466 rear. So with 20,446 out of a 22,000 max that leaves about 1,500lbs left for a lot of wine on our next vineyard trip. Boy am I glad.
See you on the road.

Make sure you put most of that wine close to the front axle. You are getting close to rear axle limit.

Yes, that is where the optional temperature controlled wine celler is. We found that there is room for 6 cases under the bed with room left over for folding tables and beding.

Haven't weighed ours for a while, but last time it was Front = 6160and Rear = 13420. We try to load as much forward as possible to enhance ride and steering.
