Let's Roll,
My front tire is not centered for the kitchen passthru area. It is to the left, but it is pretty well centered with the D-rings. Looking good

I have some questions--What is the top water hook up for? I know the bottom line is for the Black tank flush and the second from the bottom is for city water hook up (with valve option to fill water tank). What is the top (3rd from bottom)water hook up for?. I hooked it up and it filled the water tank, and I cannot understand why when the city water hook up has the water tank fill option.

Also, has anyone with the fireplace had a proplem with fan noise? Is there an air intake and is strong winds causing the noise? Just every once in awhile the fan on the fireplace will be very loud for maybe 10 to 15 seconds. Any ideas?

One more question-Where is the antenna for the Jensen Radio? We had some lamination repairs and they must have taken out the radio, because when we had our dish put in the mechanic mentioned that the antenna wire was not there? I am thinking the first crew disconnected the antenna, or removed it, and never replace it, so now we have no signal. They last crew that put the dish in, said there was no anttena wire in the radio.

Our house closed last Friday so now we are living in our 347THT. We are staying out at the FAM Camp at Edwards AFB. Will retire at the end of June and then will be heading for Sturgis for the rally and then on to Fl via Omaha, Milwaukke, etc, etc.

I have one place to fill the tank. one for city water and one for the black tank sprayer to keep the black tank clean.

Mine also has a Winter Freeze Guard port at the top for handling winterization antifreeze. My onboard water tank fill is in a separate compartment to the right of the main control panel. At the risk of pointing out the obvious, the outdoor "shower" is also at the very top of the main control board.

We did experience some residual(leakage)from one of the gray tanks when we first opened the main sewer. Anyone else?

We have had no issue with our fireplace getting loud. If I had any complaint it's that it heats up the living area very quickly! Got to keep an eye on the thermostat.

Sturgis? Wow! What a madman! Got reservations? (I hope)

>Letsroll: When I first used my 2010 247th: the Jenson radio wouldn't pick much up. I pulled the radio out and found the antenna was rolled up with a twisty in back of the radio. I have since extended the coax out to the water connections center with 20 ft of extra coax. When I park I drop the coax through the bottom and hang the antenna outside somewhere.

After a few trips out west and two blown tires on door side, I now park the Harley in the wheel chock as close to the inside wall as I can get it, and the wife and I slide(tug) the rear of the bike over to almost on the inside rear tie-down ring. Since doing this, The door side tires are not heating up like they did before. I believe with the weight of the bike, stove, and fridge all on that side of the rig, it was too much weight on those two tires. I need to get to a CAT scale and see what I actually have on each side. I also park the rear tire on a piece of 3/4 plywood to distribute the weight.I started doing this after the bike went through the floor on my last Toy hauler(Jayco) Note: This also makes sliding the bike a "bit" easier. Don't get me wrong, we fulltime and I love my 347th, but I don't think the engineers at keystone did their homework when they designed this unit as a "toy hauler".

Denoel, It does seem like having one bike on one side would really make the 347tht unbalanced. With that said though, we have pulled ours about 20K, including to Alaska and back. I switched to LT tires - Firestone HTs. We also have a TST Tire pressure monitoring system and do not notice a significant difference in temps and pressures from one side to the other. Usually the sun shining on one side or the other has the biggest effect. I'm curious what kind of tires you had on when they blew?

Also, we've been through the scales a couple times and I was actually surprised that the weights from side to side are pretty close. Maybe it's the way we load the trailer with other things, but being a full timer I suppose you have that part of it down pretty well.

I load my Road King right in the middle of the D rings and right over the top of one of the aluminum floor joists. I make sure the rear tire is riding over it too. I used a board at first, but did not during our Alaska trip. The floor is as flat as it was when new. If anything was going to dent it, it would have been the roads we traveled to, in, and from AK.

You're right about the engineering too though. The 347tht is a compromise between a toy hauler and a full size 5er, without much beef added in the rear for the toys.

If you've read this entire thread you're aware of the level of research and scrutiny I've done with this trailer. Another issue came up after we returned with the trailer which has since been resolved locally but in the process, I've managed to speak to at least five different people at all levels of Keystone including a line production manager. I don't know what year Denoel's trailer is but there are absolutely improvements in the construction design from year to year especially if you're comparing say a 2008 to a 2011. The guy I spoke with, Rick, said they were aware of the garage floor concerns. It seems pretty clear to me they take feedback from customers seriously and make adjustments year to year.

I've been riding a lot longer than RVing. When I hear tires going bad so soon and an inference to overheating, I go right to proper inflation. Perhaps it's my inexperience with trailers but the hair stood up on the back of my neck when someone reference putting light truck tires on a trailer. There is a huge difference in sidewall flexibility and strength between the two. An LT tire in tight manuveuvers could pop the bead. Maybe there's something I don't know?? Always open to real, on the road, experiences.

There's a lot that most of us don't know about tires. I switched to LTs after much research into the issue. IMO, Chinese-made ST rated tires are junk. I was more than comfortable making the switch and have no regrets after 15K miles. Start searching the forums about tires and you will find enough reading to last several months. Given how many "tire threads" there are out there already, there's not much to gain from debating the issue in this thread.
