I have gone where most will no go. I am in the process of adding a 2nd drive axle. I am doing the work myself. As you can tell from the pics. I have came a long ways. I just have the bed work to finish the project. I will be extending the bed & dully fenders to have a full bed. Let me know what you think.

The reason I am doing this is to handle the toy hauler better on the road.

To each, their own. The truck is definitely quite a beast.
With the tripple trailer axles, especially with them positioned so far forward on the trailer as yours are, with all or most of the garage area behind the trailer axles, I can't imagine the pin weight of the trailer being too much for a single dually axle to handle.
How are you intending to connect the driveshaft between the 2 rear axles?

Pin weight unloaded is 3600 pound. Iam planing on useing a NV-200 transfur case to tie it all to geather. That is another phase of the project. I just wanted to get the truck done as it is my only truck I got to tow hauler with. Thanks for asking.

I have seen all kinds of contraptions for hauling a fifth wheel. One of them was a small 2 wheeled device that just don't look safe. This will handle more weight plus it has the extra braking. Not to mention the extra handling ability it has to give.

Extra braking ability is the main benefit that I see to running tandems. Same with tripple versus tandem trailer axles.
I'm not familiar with an NV200. Is that like a Dana 21, providing 4wd driveshaft split without the low gear?

Are you taking orders? That's great! I can't wait to see it with the bed finished.
