PS: got my fines in mail today from DOT.

I got 2 for each axel coming out past fenders.

I got 2 for having wheel spacers on each axel.

And one for not having my child in booster seat.
He was 5 years old. And I did have him buckeled in.

Total $450.00 in fines.

Didnt think i would post on this tread. But, did you know/ have an idea if you would be able to street legal the 3 axle dodge? Im not by any means trying to be debbie downer, but the to be radiclly changing a vehicle to go down highways and city streets. You probly should have checked out all the regulations. But i dont live in WA either so maybe things are alittle more laxed up there.

If you could see these spacers. You would see they are of high quality. The law code says I can have 1/4 inch spacers. But I had 3 inch. But if that is the best problem he could find after the major change I did with adding 3rd axel. Then I am doing good.

Here is pic of spacers

After looking at the picture showing your hitch installed, I was wondering if it might be a little too close to the sleeper. It might just be the angle but it looked like you might have a clearance problem.

It's not the America that I spent 20 plus years defending. Too many Commies nowadays

If you want to understand what's really happening. Search out a Documentary called 'Shock Doctrine' by Naomi Kline.

It's a real eye opener to see what's happened elsewhere to suppress the 'Lower'/'working' classes.

This kind of enforcement goes back to the question of "safety". Can Anyone remember having voted for a 'Speed Limit'? And who decided what was 'safe' and acceptable, and what wasn't?

This type of situation is why I always suggest the course you've taken with the Class 7 truck. They will have less to complain about if take off stuff rather than add, to solve a problem.

You want to really make them unhappy? Use a class 8 with tandems for a 'Daily Driver'. Registered as an RV or MH, it'll make them scratch their heads when they stop you.

The guys over on the Escapees HDT board, have spent a lot of time doing the math and researching the statutes regarding MHs, RVs, Titling, and class of Operator's License needed.

Do watch your front axle weight. That engine and tranny weigh a Bunch. And you've only got 12K to work with on the front. Might even want to scale it before the build and keep track of weight added, it you can. I'm still wondering what the cruising speed is with that gearbox. It'd take a pretty wide spread to get to 70mph, I'm thinking. But I haven't done the math either.

Looing forward to seeing the 'finished' product.
