My travel trailer is 250 miles away. I need to know how much clearance I need to drive thru. I am pricing out pole buildings and one of the things that is a must for me is that the tt gets parked inside.
The tt is a 1997 coachmen 338fl. Supposed to be a 34'er. It has a slide out room so It does have a 6'10" cieling height.
Thanks for any help.

It can be anywhere from 10 to 14 feet. For safety sake I would use 14 feet as minimum.

It's probably about 11' to 11'6", but if you're going to build a garage for it I would make it 14'. You or the next owner might have a 5th wheel or a DP MH in the future and they are usually over 13'.
I have a garage for my TT, but I originally built it for a MH. Garage door opening is 14'. After the MH, I bought a 5th wheel that was 13'4". Even with 8" clearance, it looked mighty close backing it in.

14' is the safe way to go, as said your next RV may need it. And along with 14' high go 42' to 48' long you never know what you may want to park in there next. It's less cost & work to build it the right size the first time.

i agree, i built my garage when i had a tt that was only 10'6" tall and 26 ft long, now my 5er is 13'5" and 40 ft long. I did a door that is 14 x 14 and the garage is 28 x 52....still have room for other toys also.

Measuring is the ONLY way you'll know for certain. If you want to GUESS then find a similar model and measure it. Brochure numbers are never very accurate and some do and some do not (most) include airconditioner. If it's important measuring is required.

Thanks for the replies.
I install doors for a living. I have had many customers that were disappointed when they found out their rv or boat etc would not fit in the new garage.
I am planning 40x60. first 25' will be a shop and the rest will be for the boats, truck camper and tt. We can fill it up quick but have a good plan. The only thing I am not sure about is the height. I tried to call Coachmen at the # posted but got a voicemail. I will try again tommorow.

I also say go 14 ft, That may allow some room to work on the roof while inside.
