LED's for bright ideas will be the wave of the future. As we age those bright idea lights need to stay on longer so we don't forget what our bright idea was. Seems to me only the LED's will last long enough...........

You can still buy the old incandescent bulbs. I just bought some recently at Walmart and Lowe's. They still are readily available, but will eventually be no longer manufactured. They were originally to be phased out by the end of 2012, but that deadline has been extended; not sure for how long. Better stock up now.

The "old" bright ideas did not have this issue. They were bright the moment you thought of them.
Yea, but they sure burned out WAY too often.

"Hey!, I got a great idea! All we have to do is (POP!), wait, what was I talking about?"
And that is why you should act immediately on any bright idea you may have! Only dimwits wait until the bright idea has faded away.
I acted immediately once on what I thought was a bright idea but she slapped me!

I think we should replace it with LEDs. They use less energy and I know I have less as I age.

My thoughts exactly. And based on their life expectancy, you will still be getting bright ideas at your own funeral.
