When checking various states for low tax reasons, be sure and make sure your
Medical Insurance will work too, if you are under 65..

We were all set to go with either Texas or SD, but our Medical Insurance would have put a BIG dent in our expenses.. I was in the State pool and wife was with her company plan which she couldn't transfer..

Another big surprise for us, even thou our state has an Income Tax, it wouldn't have much effect on us either.. AND our state has no Sales Tax..

I know this will not help you with your state, but be sure and look at all the possibilies before making the leap to another state...
What is your age? Is Oregon that cheap on their pool insurance, that you save overall living expenses by staying in Oregon? What is the monthly premium and coverages you have in that pool?

When we began to fulltime we went with Escapees RV Club mail service and our residence then was Texas. Just before we bought a new rig we changed our "domicile" to South Dakota with Alternative Resources in Sioux Falls, SD. That way we paid 3% user tax on the RV in place of 6.5% in Texas.

It should be noted here that the regular sales tax in South Dakota is 6%. The state has a different rate on some things like RVs that is a "user tax". We actually lived in South Dakota during my working years.

1we didn't want to establish Florida residence because there was a tax on investment income. Texas and South Dakota do not have a state income tax.
Tennessee has that investment income tax too. No Federal income tax in Tennessee.

Full Timers for 8 Months now, Sold home but made a mistake when we wanted to move up in camper size. Banks will not finance full timers. We love this life. We have a UPS mailbox and they will forward mail to us. Our home state is Tennessee No state income tax, Yes sales tax is high, plates on truck cost $28.00 Fiver $18.00.

seems a little misunderstanding here on Florida.
they did not tax investment income they "had" an
intangibles tax. this was repealed a number of years
ago, I think around 8.
I am not a full timer RVer, but full time sailing
and am out to go to full time RVing. I second St Brendan's
mail service. they have a good price, no contract, and many
options up to reviewing mail online. great folks

a year or so ago they stopped the investment tax

no investment tax in Florida and any mail service from there and you can establish residence. We are using the myrvmail.com which is through Passport america

We chose Cottonwood, AZ mainly because we spend about six months a year there anyway. The altitude keeps it from being to warm summers and low enough so we get no snow winters. (Except some years, one storm with 1/4 inch of snow that was gone by 10am) Plus license fees are low. We registered our Van and Class A for two year, for about one third it was in CA for two years.

Most efficient DMV Ive seen in over 60 years of driving.
Walked in, no lines, got the forms, filled them in for Drivers license and plates. Within 20 minutes, had my photo taken and license and new plates in hand.... Was out the door 30 minutes after walking in.
