Contacted Jayco last week and asked them for the electrical diagrams and wall stud information on our 2007 Eagle 322FKS. Were they ever nice & prompt. Sent me the spec's on the whole 2007 Eagle trailer line in pdf format. Chose what I wanted and printed it all out. Now I have a sheet on ther 12 VDC layout throughout the trailer and the 120 VAC layout. Also prints of both walls showing the wall construction.
Another great job Jayco. Keep it up.

They are very helpful and said if I needed anything else not to hesitate to call. TALK ABOUT SERVICE AFTER THE SALE it is second to none. by the way I am the third owner.I would recomend a jayco to anyone looking for a RV. Will

Bill,
I had the schematics but not the details on walls. Just put the request in via the website. They were quick last time and this time expect nothing less.
Our walls may be the same but I know their records are very good.
Another example of what a quality manufacturer is and how they continue to service the units they build.

I contacted Jayco last year for a schematic of the audio/video cables to help installing the DirecTV Whole Home system with two DVR's. They sent it to me in a very few minutes via email in pdf format.
Excellent service. As the owner of a 2010 Jayco I'm glad to hear they are just as responsive for when my Designer gets older.

Folks, its very important to include the VIN number of your trailer. I noticed on the pdf prints I received that there are 11 pages covering the various 12 VDC wiring and 8 pages covering the 120 VAC wiring. Each page covers a different layout. Sometimes the change the routing or they add/delete something...So do include the VIN #.

I just ordered mine. I really need some help with our AV system. I tried to get them to fix it under warranty, but denied, denied. I was hoping a local AV shop could help us.
The DVD Jayco installed transmits double images to the TV's. After months and months of warranty claims, Jayco gave up and gave us a dvd/blue ray player instead of fixing the OEM system. This kind of works. The only issue is that the sound does not play over the ceiling system (only over the TV). I have talked with local guys and they said they needed the schematics.
Thanks for the suggestion.

On a couple of occasions when calling Jayco for some info on new RV's, the Customer Service person couldn't answer my question and put me on hold for a minute. The next person who picked up the line was a production manager, who rattled off the info right off the top of his head.
I've had the phone answered by young ladies that turned out to be the great grand daughters of the founder of Jayco Mr. Bontrager. Another time the product development manager for the Pinnacle 5th wheel spent about 5 minutes on the phone for me when I was researching for a post here on the Forum.
And as said, I've had PDF Wiring and plumbing schmatics e-mailed to me as well.
I always tell folks who are thinking about buying a new Jayco to try calling 1-800-RVJayco and ask the stupidest question you can think of...if the CS person can't answer it right off the top of their head..I'd be very suprised!
My posts shouldn't be taken for factual data. They are purely fictional, for entertainment purposes and should not be constituted as actually related to scientific, technical, engineering, legal, spiritual or practical advice. Amen.

OK . . . obviously they have fired some people at Jayco and hired some better people. In July 2003 I bought my Jayco Quest TSL fiver. I wanted to mount a paper towel holder on the bottom of the kitchen cabinet just behind the sink. Well there is a light fixture under there too, and a bunch of switches in the end of that cabinet. Looking at the construction, I could tell the cabinet had hollow walls and hollow bottom. I needed to know if the wires were attached to the studding in the corners of the cabinet or if they went through the middle where I needed to drill. So I called Jayco. I was told they could not tell me that. They said I needed to hitch the trailer up and take it to the nearest Jayco dealer and have them install the paper towel holder.
Then on my way back from Idaho in August 2006 I had a window fall apart and a piece of frame fall out from underneath. The piece of frame was so flimsy, it did not appear to be structural. It had four ground wires attached to it and I suspected it was there for the attachment of the ground wires. So I called Jayco to ask. Told them if it was not structural, I would just cut the end off with the ground wires and weld it back to the frame and call it a day. "Sir, you have to hitch that trailer up and take it to the nearest Jayco dealer and have them fix the frame". Don't get me started on the window. I finally got all of the parts to fix it after joining RV.NET here (take a look at my join date and you will see how long that took without help from Jayco).
Due to my bad experiences with Jayco customer service, I will never own another one. Yet in this thread, there are a lot of good experiences.
Manufacturers take note: good customer service is important to your business.

Sent the request to Jayco for wall schematics at 6:30 last night and got the pdf files at 11:00 this morning.
Bills' comments regarding the VIN are very important for the following reasons. I got 5 files, each with multiple drawings and they let me know the following for my VIN
"Print 21.737 use page 19 of 39 Doorside Print 21.742 use page 8 of 21 Off-door side Print 22.012 page 4 of 9 rear wall Prints 22.335 use page 11 of 20 and print 22.025 use page 3 of 5"
You can see that out of 94 drawings I will use 5 of them for my unit.
Their response is very quick, trustworthy, and welcome in this day and age.
Thank you Jayco.

After reading all the positive comments aboot acquiring info from Jayco, I guess I'll have to try again to request some schematics.
Like "ExRocketScientist" I had mucho problems with them when asking about 2 areas of my 2010. Asked whether there was blocking for a roof vent in the bedroom area, and if they would send such prints to help with installation, and was flatly told that if it did not come with a vent there, there would be no prep inside the roof for installing one. Guess what, there IS proper blocking in the ceiling for a vent!!! Also asked for diagrams or "blueprints" of the FW tank and water lines, since mine has a full under belly, and had a leak when full. Nope, they would not do that for me until the trailer was out of warranty!!!
SO, if they have changed their attitude and/or customer service personnel, I will try them again for more info for another project coming up.
Overall, I have had no other problems when interacting with Jayco on some minor issues, but always wondered why they did not want to help in some areas as many members had touted in the past.
