I'd doubt electric, wouldn't seem to be capable of enough btu's for such a short coil as the one they would have to use, given space restrictions. JMO

Your lucky, not having a wife/daughter team like I. They've complained about hot availability from both a 6 and a 10 gal unit.

I suppose that a generous hot water supply with AC and water hookups would be nice if you/kids want to linger in shower, including ladies washing hair, like at home. Would save on propane.

That's what we're thinking. My wife has long hair and needs at least a 15-20 min. shower to wash it. Me I do my fair share of dirty work and need the extra time for the grime. This on-demand unit does run on propane but it only fires up when you turn on the hot water. No tank of water to keep heated.
Our current hwh is also a propane unit, no electric and it uses a lot of the LP to keep the water heated in the tank.

Even when the 3 of us take showers right after the other, The recovery seems acceptiable once heated up.
The only Plus I can see for a Tankless is it will produce initial hot water much faster than the standard tank models we now have onboard.
If I parked at one location for a long time and had full time sewer connection I could see more on the positive side for the tankless.

I recall someone posting a few years back to the B forum with a newish Sprinter B with an instant WH. As I recall, the gripe was that it didn't heat the full flow of incoming water enough for comfort, if the water was fairly cold to start with.
It wasn't able to supply enough rise in temperature.
Fine, I suppose, for washing dishes, not so much for a shower in cold weather. I don't recall for sure, but think this was an LP-powered unit.
