I hate to admit that I was pouring my dishwater down the toilet and a spoon went right down the tube...AHHHHH! My husband and I did a search on the internet and found lots of advise...the easiest solution was to use a magnet and a string...2 things we actually had on hand!!! To our surprise and delight, it worked!!!!! Awesome...and a great relief. We were glad we found a solution before we moved our Roo, the spoon was straight down and had not moved. Phew...Glad to have other RVers out there who post ideas and solutions.

Lucky you didn't end up with a magnet and a string in there too.
Who gets to use that spoon?

What does someone do with a spoon that has spent time in a holding tank? Inquiring minds want to know.

Hi,
Boil the spoon for five minutes. No need to trash it.

I have to ask...What was the spoon made of? Ours are stainless steel and a magnet will not stick to them.
Well, I guess I answered my own Question. Must be some sort of steel or iron.

GOOD stainless isn't magnetic. Much flatware isn't all that good, and is attracted to magnets.
Fish around in your kitchen drawers with a magnet. You might be surprised.

Whenever I read about something going down the toilet it reminds me of that guy in the rural campground poking down into the "Andy Gump"...I saw this and asked, "what the heck are you doing"? His reply was that his jacket had fallen in the hole...I kinda chuckled and told him to forget about it, his jacket wasnt worth saving! He turned and said to me in a rather serious TONE.....I dont care about the jacket, MY LUNCH was in the pocket!
I know, thats a pretty old one, but its all I got!
