Looking for info on good places to take the grandsons on a fishing trip. Would to have RV park near the lake with rental and guides.
Thinking about early June, right after school is out...
Suggestions????
Make your Rving safe and enjoyable!

Take a look at Lake Mille Lacs.
If he's a little older and wants a fun trip to remember, give my buddy a call and take a fly fishing trip for small mouth bass down the river.
Duluth fly fishing.

as I remember Mille Lacs lake it is very large but very shallow. waves can kick up dangerously fast and high. I would not recommend this lake for boating with kids in a small boat. Leech lake, cut foot sioux, might be better for finding a secluded cove, none of which exist on Mille Lacs.

Itasca State Park, headwaters of the Mississippi. Just north of Park Rapids, Mn. Can get camp site right on the lake and rentals available.

For a much smaller lake with RV hookups right close to the water you might do some internet searches on Big Jesse Lake close to Deer River, MN. Http://www.jessieview.com

Actually you can probably do a search on any of the small lakes in Minnesota and find some kind of a "fishing camp" or resort at most of them. Good Luck.

last time I was there looked into getting an out of state license. was quite expensive and I decided against it. you may want to check out other states, SD, etc. Missouri had a by the day setup you could pick and choose any assortment of days you wanted. and they have "real" fish there.

not quite sure how you came to that conclusion, but since I own a house on a lake, you are wrong. Just making the point that Missouri has real game fish, LM bass, instead of 6 inch trout to catch.
