It's pretty bright since it's emitter is at 720 lumens, but out the front lumens is somewhere around 550 plus of minus a few lumens.

Howdy!

I believe it is more important for the person walking the dog to have a light than one attached to the dog. Our dogs have no problem finding their way around in the dark. We do attach small LED light will Glo and/or flash to their collars so that we and others know were they are in low light area's.

While I certainly agree that the person walking should have a light as I believe I indicated (my wife normally has a flashlight and wears a headband light) but with four "girls" going in different directions its difficult to keep tract of them all. My dogs are built low to the ground and the collar light serves two purposes: light up the ground in the immediate area and to make them more visible in the pitch black darkness.....these items wont replace the owner carried flashlight but maybe reduce its use.

On edit:
Picture this....holding a flashlight, holding on to four leashes and then trying to shine the light on the area to pick up their "business" ...so it just makes good sence to have additional light on the ground to facilitate this activity...

I understand what your saying its difficult to manage four pets, we've done it with three and it was hard. I just opted to use the LED glo lights our pets to keep track of them in low light condition. These lights are small and attach to the top of harness they wear and are very visible. They remain on the harness and can be turned on easy. They can be set to light up constantly or flash.

Hope you find the lights your looking for and they work out for you.

Do they make lights to go around their butts? Now that would help.

Not a bad idea......so instead of a "Bud Lite" you get a "Butt Light", I like it!
