The part number is 34901014. I went to Northern Tool site and it shows this as not for gasoline. I was at the store looking for jackstands and saw the fuel tank it was the only one with a gasoline plate on it. It says gasoline/diesel/petro. Also has a DOT number on the plate. I have been looking for a while and did not want to spend $1400. for one. Not arguing with anyone but I know what I read and see. George

I'm looking to install an aux tank (in the bed) on my Duramax. I'm probably going to do the Northern Tool tank and buy their hook up kit. What is RDS? I've seen it reffered to in some of the above posts. Also if I used their install kit could I use an electric on/off switch? That way I could wait until the main tank got down to 1/4 and then switch the aux tank over to refill. Would this work?

Thanks
Dwight

RDS is the manufacturer of the Northern Tool boxes. I have one of their tanks on the way. Its supposed to be here in 9-14 days.

I've tried everywhere it seems. Transfer Flow was nice but silly expensive. They are expensive, they won't ship without their pump assembly included, and they charge $250 for shipping to NC. Count me out.

I ordered the Northern Tool tank that has a tool box on top and the lid also covers the fill area of the tank. Its perfect for what I want.

Yep, diesel only for the one I have, sorry. You gotta be careful if its gas that's for sure. The Northern Tool tank comes with a petcock so theoretically you could fill it and turn it off and only use it when you want it. I did not do that, I just filled both tanks and drove.
