RE: Large motorhome question

There's plenty of room at Walmart...:B
Seriously, I have never been to a RV park or campground where I could not fit.....where are they?
I know of one in Balsam N.C. That only has two sites you would fit in,so if someone else is on them you would not be able to get in.

RE: Can workampers rate their experience?

Only thing i have found is Workamper news lets you praise your employer which i think is very unfair.I personally had an experience with a bad employer and cannot warn others of it.I have even considered canceling my subscription because they are one sided.

RE: Need aux brake advice

The other thing to consider is what if your tow bar or connection has a problem and your car comes loose from your MH? I have read many posts of tow bar failures or when after stopping finding pins missing. I could not live with myself if I killed someone else knowing the possibility of the car coming loose and not taking any precautions to stop it.
AMEN!

Who do you talk to for

Who do you contact for workamping at the Grand Canyon? We would like to go there in the summer but we don't know who to contact. Also which is the best the north rim, south rim or what.
Many thanks in advance for any and all replies.

RE: DOES A 2005 MALIBU HAVE A DIODE IN TAIL LIGHTS

You run the wires to the rear, and just before the tail light, you splice in to the brake/turn/ driving bulb wire, using the Y that the diodes comes with. The diodes only allow electicity from the tow vehicle to go from that point to the bulb. And the electricty from the toad won't feed back into the wire harness from the tow vehicle.
Thanks so much for the replies, Can you buy a diode pack with the y or do you have to make your own.

DOES A 2005 MALIBU HAVE A DIODE IN TAIL LIGHTS

I want to wire into the tail and brake lights on my chevy malibu. Does anyone know if i can splice into the wires and plug into the motor home without blowing anything out on the chevy. I don't want to have to unplug the wiring harness on the car each time i tow it.
Thanks so much in advance.

RE: Workampers

Does anyone know of any campgrounds that are hiring workampers. We were working at a campground but now they can't pay us because business is so slow they decided to let us go. So now we have no job and very little money so if anyone can help us please let me know. Thanks John and Shelley Dumpert
Actually there is a forum for questions like this.

RE: SealTech Leak Check

I have never paid to have it done but when i bought the rv new i had a leak they couldn't find, They brought in tech's from the factory and when they done this test they found several small leaks. The major one was around the windshield and it had to go back to the factory to be fixed. In my opinion it would be worth it.

RE: RV Insurance / Awnings

At that point, making a claim for a damaged awning probably wouldn't be worth my while anyhow.
Well, let me tell ya a story. I had the awning pulled away from the rig by a low hanging branch (at <5 mph). The result was that the awning while tearing away, also damaged the side of the rig and put two small holes in the rubber roof. $10,200 later.......:E
Well tell us the rest of the story.

RE: Ford V-10 Engines (Your Opinions please)

I too would be interested in more opinions on this. My wife and I are looking at a 1999 fleetwood Bounder with the Triton V-10. I have been reading on this forum in other threads about blowing spark plugs because of the number of threads in the plug. I will say that for the most part these were truck owners not motor home owners. The unit has 49,000 miles on it.
The 99 v-10 had thin heads and were notorius for blowing spark plugs out. If you do a search for this you will find plenty of subjects on this. It is not the number of threads on the plug it is the number of threads in the head for the plug.

RE: campsite proud of their dumpstation

Not posting the name isn't helping any of us. Most of the campgrounds around here have upped their fees more than 20% especially KOA. Because of the economy, most people are taking to the campgrounds because its a cheap vacation. Everything around here is booked for the season. Supply and demand. These businesses have not learned lessons of the last year. Greed will eventually take them down.
He did post the name . look down a few lines.
