RE: Bullying Your 'B' Part Two

Isn't it all really a case of maturity,or lack of.

RE: theoretically I want a class b rv but

Go to rvtrader.com to look at prices. You may decide that a trailer is enormously cheaper.
How do you compare a B to a trailer???I have both and they are used for different purposes. We travel in one and camp in the other, like the trailer for the room in camping, like the B for traveling features. Both do different jobs for us.

RE: Has anyone brought a Country coach into canada? Please Help

Did you purchase it privately? If you purchased it from a dealer, the condition of it being acceptable to export should have been on the contract.Private purchase conditions are up to you I suppose. Can you get the work done and the conditions removed, that may be your only course of action regretfully.

RE: Ontario Canada Snow Bird Alert - Drivers License Issues

I thought all Canadians got free medical care???
Yes and no.
Simple answer is we get one free medical per year, anything else needed for a job or license etc. is not covered.
Anything needed to keep you healthy and alive is covered. Anything to keep you slim and pretty is not covered. You better check again I did not write that quote!!!

RE: Ontario - Non Resident owning & driving a RV

Refer them to the licensing agency in the province,I would not want to base the answer on other information, there certainly are legal ramifications.Just buy it for the son and come and use it sounds the simplest, but insurance may have something to say about insuring drivers.

RE: Anyone have the Route 66 Extended Warranty?

You may want to check out Good Sam parent company financial status before investing anything long term in it.

RE: The boat we plan to tow behind 5er

The hardest thing I found was not seeing the boat wheels and tires, also estimating when it was safe to pull back in to a lane after going past someone.I found side markers that showed the tips on both sides of the boat helpfull to determine if it was swaying and tracking true.I tried various back up cameras on the back of the fifth wheel also but did not like any of them.Hooking it all up at the lake was usually a hassel also because of the length around loading ramps and boat storage areas.Dumping ahead of hook up was also a good thing as most dump sites tend to not accomodate something 63 feet long and on a curve. After several years we just gave up and either made 2 trips or found a place we liked and left the boat there in storeage, till we came back.

RE: The boat we plan to tow behind 5er

Coachman05 prove everyone wrong or right by listing all the weights, lengths, etc.of the truck, and both units. Then it becomes facts not opinions. And remember the length of the trip has no bearing safe is safe and unsafe is unsafe.I think by posting that you may not be sure and are looking for approval.

RE: New Tire Search: LT245/75/16E ['02 PleasureWay Excel TS]

We have a 2001 Excel on the Dodge Ram 3500 chassis.
We run Uniroyale Laredo AWP's on the front (65psi) and the original Michelins (LTX's) on the rear (80psi). Yes, we check our alignment often to avoid cupping.
This combination works for us and we average 12,000 miles per year for the last 2 years and have already put on 10,600 miles this year.
Is cupping not primarily due to balancing, versus toe in/out or camber.

RE: Drive from Calgary to Chilliwack BC

Too stressful to do in one day, IMHO. Life is too short not to take a break. Suggest you stop for the night at Canyon Hot Springs, just east of Revelstoke. By that time, you've got the Spiral Tunnels, Kicking Horse Pass (yes, the new bridge is open and wonderful) and the Rogers Pass out of the way. Canyon Hot Springs has lots of spots if you're not picky, otherwise, you might want to reserve.
see them at http://canyonhotsprings.com/. I've never been turned away.
The hot springs pool is relaxing...
note that if you have a car travelling with you, you'll pay for two camp spots, which kinda sucks.
It must have changed owners or my expectations are out of this world.

RE: NADA Values...in Canada?

To me, nada is the Spanish word for 'nothing' I believe. I use it to mean 'nothing'.
What does it mean to you?
:) On par with consumers and J.D.Powers.nada,nada.

RE: Which B to buy used?

Why did you pick the TLF over the PW, if I may ask?I can't answer that question for Anyoltime, but I can correct the name. I think the reference is to a Leisure Travel Freedom, like this.
That is almost exactly what we bought with the wide body and 43000 miles and the 5.9l engine.

RE: Which B to buy used?

For what it is worth we bought a used Travel Leisure Freedom wide body and the only other make that we ended up considering was Pleasure-Way.Many used units out there look at which units retain there value best, gives you a pretty good sense of value. It just worked for us,each to his own.
