RE: Best 4-season TC?

My experience only!! I use to own a Hallmark hard side. It survived many nights in the A basin parking lot at below Zero temps. No mods except that reflecting bubble wrap over all the windows. It worked but was not comfy. I currently own a 1999 Bigfoot 3000. I have spent many hunting seasons it this camper for extended periods 7 to 10 days at -20 to -30 degree weather. No mods just the stock camper. I do open the cupboard under the sink at night. In this situation battery power is the biggest problem. I have a 4D battery. The old wet cell battery I had was never up to the challenge and I ussually had to run the Honda all night so I would not have to get out and start it in the middle of the night. A couple of years ago I switched to a Glass Mat battery and it is a world of difference. No more running the Genny all night. Just fire it up in the morning and let it run while we are out hunting. I set the temp at 55 durring the day and 65 at night. Uses a bottle about every 2 1/2 days. Yes the furnace runs quite a bit durring the night. There is a Heat outlet in the overhead, bathroom and under the dinnette. I sleep in the bed with two blankets and stay toasty warm. The person that sleeps on the dinnette sometimes gets a little too warm. I use all the facilities ussually a minimum of 4 guys using the bathroom (no they don't all sleep in the camper) We have an outfitter tent form most of them with a propane furnace. Nothing has ever frozen. All of my hunting buddies have RVs from trailers to 5th wheels, they all leave them at home because they know they are not upto the task. Needless to say they all buy the beer because they can sit in a warm bathroom. Oh by the way I take a army shower every night There jealous Hope that helps
