RE: CUMMINS C 8.3 DP- JUST TOLD I NEED A NEW HEAD/HELP?

I am on my way to Cummins Coach Care in Coberg OR for an exhaust manifold replacement. The parts quote is $693.00 total. The service advisor says 5 hours if there are not broken bolts. So I think it should be around $1000 to 1200 for the job if everything goes well. If the bolts shear off that will drive up the cost.
I just joined the 100,000.0 mile club.

RE: Advice on Driving S on I-5 in early Dec, Vancouver to Tucson

This link will give you the camera locations on I5. I have used it a number of times and is good information on road conditions and temperatures at the passes.

RE: Loosing the Turbine

Have you pressure tested the CAC(Charge air cooler) for leaks? Mine was cracked and I lost part of my boost pressure. Required a new CAC to fix.

RE: Day/Night Shades

I just this week rebuilt the shade at the dining table on my Country Coach. The cornice frame has to come off to remove the shade. It's quite simple to remove the cornice. Remove the three scews that hold the support to the wall under the cornice, then remove the three screws from the inside top of the cornice, a log reach phillips screwdriver works.
If you need further instructions PM me and I will try to explain it better.

RE: Paint experts, what causes this?

This checking was a manufacturing defect from the maker of the fiberglass material. Country Coach and other makers of DP coaches had the same problem. The Paint Department in Chino can repair it for about 20 grand.
Well known problem and a very expensive repair.
