RE: need HELP!! SMELL!!!

Take a bunch of crinkled up newspapers and put them in the freezer and refridge. Then put activated charcoal in with the papers. Let them sit in there with the doors closed for several days. We had the same thing happen with food left in. The smell was completely gone.

RE: Pushed In FRont Caps

I have seen that frequently on many of the fronts of 5rs going down the interstate. They tend to pop back out when they stop. My guess is they are just cheaper made fronts.

The valve that is on the bigger diameter pipe will be the one for the black tank.

RE: strange substance on bathroom wall

We had a weird substance on the wall a couple times...turns out it was from all the water not being drained out of the toilet and when we went down the road the water would splash around. That left a fine chauky feel on the wall and same color. Make sure you shut your pump off then let all the water go down the toilet before you move see if that fixes the problem.

RE: Thinking about giving up bunkhouse 5er

We gave up our bunks and went to the current plan we have. One thing we have done is gone to carrying a queen size air mattress that is 18" thick. If we have people stay we blow it up before bed and they sleep on it in the floor between the two slides. Then when they get up in the morning we deflate and put it away in storage until night again. That beat trying to hastle with the air bed in the hideabed couch and is more comfy for them to sleep in.
We do not regret giving up the bunks it is something me and the DW can use more reasonably for US

RE: Suggestions, Meal for a large group.

We will do what is often called "cream can" supper. Only we use a gas turkey cooker that you deep fat fry turkeys in.
On the bottom around the edges of the pan you put corn on the cob standing up, then you put in side the corn carrots, potatoes, cabbage, onions and any other veggie you want in there.
On the top you put numerous bologna or cabasa to cook. You put in 8 beers and top off with water and let it cook for an hour to hour and half.
When done you dump it out on a table that has been covered with tin foil and people serve themself.
One can will feed about 10 people so you may need a couple turkey cookers going.

2009 Dodge Ram Exhaust Brake

I just bought a 2009 Dodge ram 2500. There is a switch that I can switch the Exhaust brake off or turn it on. Can you leave that on all the time even if not pulling a decent sized load or should it be used only when towing? When on I hardly have to use the brakes when slowing down. Thanks in advance for your answers!

RE: Sioux Falls Jellystone Campground

Yes they have fire pits at the sites. we had a pull-thru back in 05. I had a fire that nite with no problems. and my fire wood was from home. I keep it in bins and only bring it out when needed. it`s the people that stack it all against trees that transfers the beetle!
How you stack it does not matter the law is very strict in SD. NO OUTSIDE THE STATE FIREWOOD. I agree you may not have bugs but it does not change the law and the fact that you should not be bringing it from out of state.

I have the 6'4" bed and it works fine! May want a slider hitch incase you get into trouble with the short bed.

I believe they have a community fire pit? I may be wrong on this. But I too do not remember a fire pit there on the sites.

RE: Sioux Falls Jellystone Campground

South Dakota has a strict law. You can not bring firewood from out of state. This is to avoid transfer of the pine beetle and other such bugs.
You will love the campground... especially if you have younger kids.

Montana has had some of the best trout fishing I have ever done. I also have pretty good luck in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
