RE: Prompt to enter a 25 alfa-numberic digit product key??

I think they want each OS registered to Microsoft I have done that with all the computer I have bought. Did you receive a copy of the Windows OS? The number should be there. Will the computer boot up? if so click the Windows start button, right click computer and the number should be there.

RE: And yes....Another tire question

I would use the XPS Rib in size LT 245-75R-16 a little smaller diameter but has the same weight carrying capacity. I currently have the 235-85R-16 on my 5er and I have 3/4" between tires, I have had no problems but I will be changing them out this year and going with the 245 size.

RE: air hitch for 5th wheel

I have had my airsafe hitch for a year now and love it. This may save a few bucks airsafe ships from Fargo, SD even though sales is in Florida. airsafehitch.com is the manufactring web site and www.airsafehitches.comfor sales.

RE: water pressure regulator

After upgrading the pressure regulator git rid of the 1/2" hose and upgrade to a 5/8" also; every little bit helps.

RE: Laptop will not charge

Checked with local computer repair and they want $170.00 to replace the charge port and then the cost of a new battery does not seem worth it, if I can find a charge port I will try and replace it myself, not much to lose now. Thanks for the help and suggestions.

RE: Laptop will not charge

Charging has been an ongoing problem and finally it won't charge at all, how do you replace the charge port; is it a plug in or soldered to the motherboard? I am not inclined to spend a lot on a computer this old that is mainly just used for internet use.

RE: Laptop will not charge

Yes its plugged in most of the time and the computer works pretty good for its age just a little slow. I will check that web site, thanks

RE: Laptop will not charge

I was suspecting the battery due to its age, I am working on the inside of the computer right now cleaning out all the dust bunnys that don't seem to clean well from the outside. I am looking at the charging connection to make sure everything is still soldered well. I will start checking around for a new battery.

Laptop will not charge

I am working on a Dell laptop that will not charge, I have used 2 different charging units and neither one will charge. The laptop is about 6 years old I don't know if its the charging port or the battery just won't charge, the charge indicator does not light up. Any thoughts?

RE: What if I move my hitch?

Don't waste your time 1.5" will not matter. I thought about doing it on my 95 F350; my brother is an owner/operator of a 18 wheeler and fully loaded with 80,000 gross and sliding his hitch forward 18" it will only transfer 300 lbs to the front axel and we are talking 36,000 on the rear axels. Take your pin weight of say 2000 lbs moving it 1.5" you may transfer 10 lbs at most. I changed the hitch in my 08 F450 to a different hitch and moved it 2" behind the axel and can't even tell I did it other than being able to open the front compartment when hitched.

RE: Any Possitive feedback from 6.4 PSD Owners?

I have an 08 F450 with 37K. I have been towing since it had 250 mi on it; the only issue was the fog light wiring came loose and got up against the intercooler and melted the plastic wiring sheath which Ford took care of and they repainted the bottom of the cooler since it started the paint peeling. This is the most comfortable truck I have ever had, it is a towing monster.

RE: If you were in my shoes, which would you pick?

Having owned a 95 7.3, an 04 6.0 and now a 08 6.4 I would go with the 7.3 add the Banks exhaust brake, exhaust and tuner and it will run with the others and will probably get better fuel milage than the 6.0.

RE: finding non-bio diesel

I have used many tankfuls of B20 in my 08F450 6.4 and it runs great, no problems at all. I think many of you need to read up on Bio fuels and educate yourselves about it, I did. Try this link. www.biodiesel.org

RE: Satelite Dish Storage

I have a flag mount on my ladder which is 2" dia. and by using the house mount for the dish and u-bolts it mounts to the flag tube perfectly, only problem is you need to have the rear facing South all the time when parked. I still carry a tripod.
