Thanks for all the replies. With the great stories and pictures.
I'm glad I was able to dig up some good memories for yall.
Now I want to add a story about one of my goofy moments.
We were coming back from Venice, Italy in our VW Bus, to Camp Darby over by Pizza, where I was stationed at the time. We were on the Autostrata? "Italian interstate" when I decided I was going to race
a Fiat (bad idea):S we got up to about 80 when a piston went and blew
out one of the jugs, had to leave the VW for repairs and had to take
the train back to Pizza then the trains went on strike at midnight
like they do a lot over there. Then had to take a bus the rest of
the way, all this with 2 kids in tow. but we still had a blast:p
A fun trip and I would sure like to do it all over again. :B

Camping way back when
This is how we camped back the 60's & 70's in Italy, Germany and
Norway. (sent to camp by the USARMY) Camping as it should be if
your not 70yrs old. :S

We had two kids at the time but it still was fun. :h I think.
married 50yrs and now 4 kids, 6 grandkids, and 3 great grandkids.
now we have to have. air, potty, big bed, sat.,putter. and cell phone.
And still having fun....
