RE: Passport Question about entering Canada from the U.S.

Sault Ste-Marie to Sherbrooke is a 700mi ride (1,300km)... a good 15 hours + of driving.
Walmart at 10/30 is certainly a good option

RE: Formula One racing- any fans out there in RV land ?

I have not missed a single F1 race in Montreal since 1979.
Too bad there is no more Villeneuve in the race.
Here's father (Gilles Villeneuve) The action starts at about 3min30sec.

Gilles Villeneuve's son (Jacques) was spectacular:

RE: 6-month stay in the US

If your question is related to keeping your healthcare priviledges, the answer is:
Albertans may be absent from Alberta for various reasons and durations, and continue to retain their Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan coverage. However, individuals must be physically present in Alberta for at least 183 days in a 12-month period to remain eligible for coverage.

RE: Medical insurance in Canada for Americans

You'll find everything you will ever need in Canada in terms of health care.
You'll have to check with your own insurance company as to what the coverage will be in Canada.

RE: Canadian cell phones

I dropped the use of expensive cell phone in my trips.
I carry a very small laptop, installed SKYPE (free) and as long as I can find a wi-fi area, I can reach any land or cell phone in America for 2.7c/minute.
...and it is totally free within North America (no max. time) between Skype users.

RE: Public Transport into Montreal

I've never taken the train before, but the ride from Saint-Jérôme to Lucien-L'Allier station is scheduled to take 85 minutes.
...that's when it's on time........
Going up to stay in St-Jerome to visit downtown/Old Montreal does not make sense, but... to each his own.

RE: Public Transport into Montreal

Probably....maybe.... but why going so far from Montreal? there are closer campgrounds with better facilities and shuttle bus services to downtown Montreal where you can take the subway to almost anywhere in on the island
KOA Montreal South
Alouette Campground
Ferry shuttle to Montreal
Montreal subway
