RE: zacatatecas Hotel de Bosque

Lew...I thought you meant Hotel Bosque in town. The other Hotel Bosque just outside of town you would have no problem getting into. We left Melaque on Tuesday and are now at Hacienda Contreras.

RE: zacatatecas Hotel de Bosque

Not sure if you would make the turn to get in there Lew. Lots of room once you get in there. Zac is one of our favorite Colonial Cities. Good luck! JerBear

RE: Laredo - Matehuala-Zacatecas-San Miguel

Les We have stayed at both Hotel Del Bosque (in town) and the Pemex outside of town. The Pemex is easy to find and we have found it to be safe and usually will find a few other RV'ers there. The last time we stayed at the Pemex the guy that collected for the campground was very nice. We told him we wanted to get a taxi to go into town. He said his wife would come in and take us if we wanted to pay her. We said that was fine and hired her. She was very nice as well. Dropped us off and picked us up at an agreed time. No problemo!! When she picked us up she had her 2 daughters in the car and we had fun trying to converse with them in both Spanish & English!! JerBear

Truck & Camper Value

What are the best sites on the internet to get accurate values for my truck and camper? Need this for insurance purposes when we go to Mexico.

RE: Leaving a Truck Camper in Mexico

OK, I had my Columbian friend phone and talk direct with someone in the know at Banjercito. Here are the rules for Truck Campers: If the camper is separately licensed you need to present the registration. If it is not, you need to present the original sales receipt with the serial number of the unit. (If used & you don't have one I suggest you make up a fake using a friend and get it notarized - how will they know the difference?) It will then be added to the truck permit. I have been doing it wrong for 3 years by not mentioning the camper on the truck. Thanks for doing this Paul. Interesting! I always figured this was a grey area. We have crossed at Piedras Negras 3 times. Twice no problem with the camper and once we had to pay. Go figure!!!!

RE: E Mail Campaign re vehicle Deposit

I just got a reply as well. They tell me that motorhomes are exempt. So I replied and asked if my camper was exempt and if I had to pay for my truck.
