RE: Temporary spice holder

i often put them in a craft store baggy, sometimes pre-measured, and then into an empty pill bottle. I havenn't yet decided if the spice could just go straight into the pill bottle, but the lids seem a little insecure to me for some reason. the things i use a lot of--salt, pepper, garlic/onion powder, etc. I just keep in a plastic spice bottle--large or small size, depends on what it is.

RE: Birthday party suggestions

maybe a year or so ago there was a thread on making ice cream in zip lock bags, similar idea to using an ice cream ball. I bet he girls would have a great time doing this and making their own ice cream to go with the birthday cake. there was aslo a thread on "pass around" fudge, not sure what the hread was called, bu he ingredients went into a zip lock bag, and then was passed around and kneaded until mixed up and ready to eat. sounded like a lot of fun too.

RE: Got Stinkbugs?

put just about an inch or two of a flea collar into the vacuum and it will kill them, empty the next day.
If this works in the vacuum, why not put a piece or 2 in the soda bottle and then they would be dead when you picked up the bottle and you wouldn't have to look at them crawling around in he bottom, yuk!

RE: Canned Chicken?

the White meat canned chicken at Costco is very conveneient to use if you are mixing other ingredients with it--i.e. salad, pot pie, enchiladas as others here have said. To my taste it is needs lots of somethning added. I think it is because it is not roasted, baked, etc. I think it only "cooks" with the canning process so it gets none of the cooking flavors. That said, I almost always have some on hand to make sandwich fillings, pot pie, chick and dumplings, etc. Costco also often times has canned beef in similar cans (like tuna) and it has much better flavor. I ofen use it with BBQ sause to make quick sandwiches.

RE: Movies with RV themes or parts related to RVs

"Open Season II" has even more RV-related story to it. My grandson and I love to watch Booog and Elliot and their friends in the woods, and he has been bugging me for a couple of months about when are we going camping this summer.
There's also the Jack Nicholson movie "What about Schmidt" is I think the name of it.
