RE: need help question about water pump!!!

Keep in mind that the screen might not be pushed in, it just may be in backwards. But if the check valve is broken, like the others said it's a cheap and easy fix. I had to do it on mine. The hardest part was not letting the hose fall back into the hole as your trying to screw on the new valve.

RE: I bet the salesman told him....

That is one sad photo. Where did you find it? Is there a real story to go with it? A friend posted it on FB. I don't know if he knows the story behind it but I'm guessing he doesn't.

I bet the salesman told him....

...it's a house boat too. I guess putting the jet skis in the back of the toyhauler seemed like a good idea at the time. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8010/7113579475_86e9e4d72a_z.jpg

RE: RV Checklist camping app (For Android)

I have tried to find it in market and it is not there. I have an android phone. Try this. If you sign in with your Gmail ID you can download it from the computer and it will show up on your phone as long as your data is on. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rvadventuretreks.rvchecklist&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5ydmFkdmVudHVyZXRyZWtzLnJ2Y2hlY2tsaXN0Il0.

RE: New RV Checklist Android App

I just found this app and I loved it so much that I started a new thread for it without knowing about this one.:S Anyway you did a beautiful job on it and I made sure that I said so in the reviews. Five stars!!!

RE: RV Checklist camping app (For Android)

Take a look at this thread. The developer of that app posted on this forum - RV Checklist Thread Yep it's the same one. I went back a few pages to make sure that this wasn't posted already. I guess I didn't go back far enough. :S I'm glad to see people already found it. It's a great app. OK Mods..feel free to delete this thread if you want seeing that we already have one for it.

RV Checklist camping app (For Android)

I was just browsing the market and I came across this checklist app. It's called "RV Checklist" It's very well done. The list has most if not all of the things that I check. You can also add your own items to the list and so much more. I'm very impressed with it. And the best part is it's free. They have a departure checklist, an arrival and set up checklist, and a camping prep checklist. Granted, some of you don't need it but I know I can use it and I think that I'm not the only one. Like I said it's free, fairly small (77k), and doesn't have any unnecessary permissions. EDIT: I just noticed that they have a paid app with even more on it too. The apps are put out by Adventure Treks.

RE: Electric tongue jack

I've done a ton of research on these jacks when I got mine. I ended up getting a Barker 3500 VIP. I found almost no bad reviews on Barkers in Rv.net. In fact in addition to the good reviews on quality their customer service seems to be second to none according to the others in here. I have NEVER regretted getting this jack. There are other good ones out there but based on what I read in here and my own experience Barker is the best.

RE: Why Slides Out??

"Piece of rope" is an undefined quantity of rope.. The proper termnnology for a quantity of rope is "length of rope". So the correct answer is "unknown", since there is no definition for a "piece of rope". :) How long is a "length of rope" ? The answer is 21 times it's diameter. EDIT: I knew that I learned something during those four years that I spent in the navy. Up until now, I couldn't remember what it was. :) I guess boatswain's mates are good for something after all (besides painting the hull). :B

RE: Axle issues...caster/camber adjustment?

Thanks for all the advice. I'll take a closer look at it when I get a chance. Maybe this weekend...weather permitting.

Axle issues...caster/camber adjustment?

My rear axle seems to be out of alignment. My front axle looks straight (top to bottom) but my rear axle isn't. Both sides look to be out the same amount (top to bottom). Is there an adjustment I can make or is this best left to a pro? I do most of my own mechanical work myself and I have a large floor jack and axle stands.

RE: Any places for coupons or discounts on camping?

Thanks for all the ideas. I'll look into them all except for the ones with age requirements. I'm only 41. :B

Any places for coupons or discounts on camping?

I was just thinking about camping next year. With my new job, I'll be camping more often. So I was wondering if anyone found a place that has coupons or discounts like groupon or living social. I already know about the GS 10%. Is there anything else? I'm looking mainly in the South Jersey area. I like to stay local.

RE: Anode Rod Question

I have the suburban water heater also & would like to buy one of those "pet cock" plugs that will drain it but all i have seen are ones with the anode rods for the Atwood W/H... do they make those for the suburban W/H??? Look in the rv catalog. I just bought one for mine. Installed it today. Will leak test it tomorrow.

RE: What's the deal with Dawn cleaner solution?

We have some real good RV dealers in the area so I'll see if they stock a "wash and wax" system I can use. Given what I know of the history of my unit (I got it late last summer) I highly doubt it's ever had any wax applied to the siding. That being the case I bet a decent wax finish might discourage further streaking. Check out Walmart first. That's where I get my rv cleaning supplies including rv wash and wax and rubber roof cleaner and conditioner.
