RE: I hate to say it.

To me, they ALL sit too high off the ground. When they start putting steps on the back, maybe, just maybe you're truck is too high.

RE: Sales figures and more news

I always wondered about the Canadians. :)

RE: making the RIDE a little smoother

Well, if some think weight doesn't make a difference, do you get less mileage towing or not? :)

RE: Land Rover LR 4

Does anybody have any insight on towing with a Land Rover LR4? How does it handle is my biggest concern. Any info on power, safety, stability will appreciated. The towing capacity is 7716lbs. I have a Cruiser RV Veiwfinder (link provided) that is currently being towed by a Chevy Avalanche that has the same towing capacity as the Rover and the Avalanche tows it just fine. I will probably be towing fairly local with the longest trip being 500 miles or so and maybe in some mountain roads(through north Carolina and upper Georgia). The weight of the trailer is 5280, we figure another 700lbs with everything else packed up. Link to the trailer is posted below. I am aware that the hitch is going to be pricy and I am sure gas will be as well. The LR4 is my dream vehicle that I have wanted for a long time, I just do not want to settle for something else just because I have to tow, so I hope it works out for me! Appreciate the help! An LR4..........DO NOT!!! Based on what?

RE: .....you people with ya Ecoboosts! LOL!!!

Sounds to me like a few folks have Ecoboost envy.

RE: When is this ridiculous price of diesel coming down?

Adjust it for inflation, and compare it to the 20's and get back with us.

RE: Nissan NV passenger version is official

Me, I dig the look of the Flex. And all the HD trucks look alike, just like pickup trucks have looked for YEARS.

RE: Chrysler sales still improving

I dig the Wrangler...and the new Charger...not much else.

RE: What should I get as my next vehicle?

Keep what you have and buy a nicely used V8 RWD car. You'll love it.

RE: Oil Changes....how often

The guys that sell oil, they love the every 3k changer folks. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

RE: Ford V6 Ecoboost or V8

With mileage mandates coming down harder and harder, I don't see a GAS TurboV8 being good for a truck.

RE: Subaru Legacy

Some of the Legacy's are rated to tow up to 2700 lbs..

RE: Can you have too much of a tow vehicle?

Certainly you can have too much tow vehicle. You don't use a 16 lb sledgehammer to do finish carpentry.

RE: Shocking subject

Why not just keep it stock? It has done you well until now. Replace with OE.

Chip it all you want, just don't complain when it craps the bed.

RE: Top Gear TV Show.......

Strictly for entertainment for sure. And remember this, it took the British version a few years to get the chemistry right...and I do agree with many, their chemistry is spot on in the Brit's version.

RE: Chevy 5.3 vs 6.2

Obviously many do not understand gearing and how it applies to towing. See the comments about the 3.42 gear set and how it will not tow anything according to some. As pointed out above, it's a better setup than the old 4 speed and even the 4.10's. Some folks refuse to learn.

RE: US Exits Chrysler Bailout with 1.3 Billion Loss to Taxpayers

You could try and collect a dime from everyone entering a National Park, if that floats your boat, and report back to us on the results. That would be about as productive as worrying about a bailout that is done and over with. That said, have a good one.

RE: US Exits Chrysler Bailout with 1.3 Billion Loss to Taxpayers

I agree, I'll gladly pay that if it keeps folks working. Seems like a deal.
