RE: CTR 500 help please....

Viajo, I assume that you have turned the power off of router and let it sit for 30 secs or so. Are you plugged into commerial power versus a generator or inverter? Do you have a 12V DC power adapter that you can plug into a 12 Volt DC power port. If you have the 12 Volt DC adapter and it works you might have "dirty" power such as low or high voltage or non-pure sine wave AC power if you are running off of a generator or invertor. If you are desperate for two computers running, you can perhaps run the computer with the data card as an ICS (Internet Sharing Connection) server and use a crossover ethernet cable to connect the two PCs together. What operating systems are you running in the PCs? PM me if you like.

RE: 2010 DeLorme Street Atlas--finding campgrounds?

fj12ryder, Thanks for the tip about custom map features. As a long time user of Street Atlas, I was not aware of that feature! With SA 2010 the campgrounds do not appear until level 12 and the automatic minimum zoom level for GPS is 11 so it you change the minimum zoom level to 12 you will see the campground as you tool down the road. I think that using the GPS radar feature would be a better option as you can look ahead with the GPS radar so that you have time to react to an up and coming campground. One option that I found with GPS radar that I changed, on the "Find" tab of options, from the default settings was the "highlight only the selected object". I always found it frustrating that all of the objects of a Find where highlighted! In SA plus the advanced file management option is standard but with SA it is a feature that you need to enable either at install time or by modifying the installation as explained by me&bobby.

RE: Bad Hard Drive?

I agree about the power supply as a better reason for your dead system. The hard drive is not really needed until after the POST diagnostics have run which from what you describe has not happened as you stated that the monitor only displays "no input signal". You should see the start up logo on the monitor.

Anyone using Delorme 2010 Street Atlas or SA plus?

I was wondering if it is going to be worth while to upgrade to Street Atlas Plus from 2008 to 2010? Has anyone out there gotten the 2010 version of either SA or SA Plus? TIA

RE: Power Down Cradlepoint?

I went to Home Depot and bought a little unit consisting of a plug, a rocker switch and a receptacle that plugs into the wall socket. You plug this switch unit into a wall receptacle and the power adapter of the router into the switch unit's receptacle and use the rocker switch to turn the router's power on and off. I have my switch unit plugged into a power strip but want other things on the power strip to be powered on when not using the router.
