RE: pop up crank. Can it be removed cuz its in the way.

Ben, next time that happens just back a jeep up to the rear door and hook a chain to that crank handle...just kidding, sorta. Mine has been stuck before too.

RE: Lifeline AGM Battery Upgrade

I have 3 group 31 Lifelines that will be 6 years old in December. I just like the way they work vs lead acid types. Expensive, but i will likely buy more when these finally go.

RE: Cassette Toilets?????????

Supply Tank is dry or the pump is bad one of the two. Confirm before purchase is all. Cassette toilets are the way to go in my opinion. My next camper will have one too. If there is a downfall it is a small tank. Pros are you can dump them almost anywhere. Don't need a dump station for black water. Pit toilet or any home style toilet will do.
Good luck

RE: The Whazoo's trip of many colors...Or...Brokefoot Mountain

...looks like I'm a little late to this party and what party it must have been.
"That evening for a beverage I had a Perfect Night, straight up, on the rocks, hold the breeze. It was so perfect I drank my fill. It was Whazoolicious".
I vote this the best picture and caption in the report. ...I am a little dissapointed that there weren't any Dutch Oven cooking lessons though...:B

RE: Weight of Outfitter Apex

I find that most people, Outfitter owners, myself included, when they look at Outfitters forget all of the options they have on board and all of them add weight. The website has a list of all of these.
When I weighed my truck and camper the weight was within a couple hundred pounds of what Outfitter quotes on their website. A list of commonly forgotten options below.
AC
Awnings
Honda Generator
Solar System
Extended cabover (north south sleeping)
Microwave
Rack & Ladder
Scissors Steps
Ext. Cabover pullout drawer
Batteries
add'l cieling fan
Any custom features you requested
I'm sure there are others.

RE: FIRST SEASON'S REPORT - OUTFITTER APEX 8.5

Terry,
Thanks for posting a great trip and camper report. Glad to see you are enjoying your camper as much as possible. We try to do as much traveling as we can get away with too. Headed for Colorado this year and probably Florida for a trip or two. Looking forward to your next report.:B

RE: The Yosemite Anniversary Loop Trip

Happy 44 jefe & Jeanie!
Thanks for posting the Yosemite Anniversary Loop Trip pictures and report. My family camped in the valley or Toulume Meadows for two weeks every summer. That was back when they still had the Fire Fall from Glacier Point. Those were very good times for us.

RE: Two Month Trip Report

..only about half way through but you have an excellent blog. Thanks for posting up on the truck camper forum.
One question. As much trouble as you seem to have squeezing into some of those campsites; did you ever wish you had brought the truck camper instead?

RE: When to air up tires

When the tires are cold........
80# is 80# regardless if TC is on truck or not.
But 80# when tire is cold is different than 80# when tire is hot x3
