RE: Perhaps I have a dead converter

I would count the wires going into the converter at the snap plugs at the top of the picture and then count the wires on the converter side of the plug. I bet you will find 3 less wires on the converter side (which were removed) and probably tossed..It looks like there was some overheating around the 3 fuse clips which are missing...Previous owner could have hooked up the batteries backwards and fried those circuits, if you find missing wires on the converter side I would make up a jumper and go off one of the 12v hot wires to the jumper wire plugged into one of the open plugs on the converter side...I also would try to call the previous owner to find out what happened..RKL

RE: Perhaps I have a dead converter

Then I wouild open the panal and see what is behind the missing fuse clips. There has to be a reason that they were removed....RKL

RE: Perhaps I have a dead converter

did you notice that the fuse listing to the right of the fuses shows 5 fuses and their amp ratings and the box only has two in action...try replacing missing fuses per amp listing and see what happens...RKL

hard tire hit on 36 ft.Journey

Yesterday as I turned into the fuel station a car coming out took a wide turn into my lane causing me to turn hard to the right. I was going fairly slow at the time. On the passenger side was a curb island jutting out into the driveway. My front tire cleared it but the outside rear passenger side dual hit it hard enought to jar oper several inside cabinets and eject items..I don't know if I actually went over the curb or the hit pushed me hard sideways...It was a hard rocking jollt....On the tire there is a softball size scuff but no apparant visable damage...My tires are Michelin 275/70/22.5 XZA2 load range H.(one year old)..How worried should I be about the tire and any suggestions as to how to determine damage...I road tested it to 70 mph and it ran smooth with no vibration....thanks RKL
