RE: Do I have a major roof problem?

The more you clean it the more you remove the protective white layer hence shortening its life. I would leave the discolorations alone, they wont hurt anything.

RE: help identify brake control

I wouldn't have a timed based unit if I had to pay 5 times as much for a proportional unit.

RE: Found a couple of MPG's...I think??? (Long w/Pics)

Looks good but I have to agree, about half of our problem with aerodynamics is that big fat, flat, err... tail end that's sucking us backwards.

RE: Eliminating bike rack 'wiggle'

Anti-Rattle brackets like this work wonder with something as heavy as a motorcycle carrier even. $13 at Amazon.
That looks good but I'm not sure it does anything for side to side movement. I'd like to try that on my trailer hitch though.
Here's what mine looks like:

RE: Eliminating bike rack 'wiggle'

Nice work. I think the bouncing and rocking side to side is really tough on them.
I drilled and tapped threads for a 3/8" bolt on the top and one side of the receiver. After I install the draw bar I snug down these two bolts which are locked into place by jamb nuts. No more wiggle!

RE: Air Conditioner Relocations

If you can move the wiring then I don't think it will be a problem, they don't reinforce the vents they put the AC in anyway - they're all built the same.

RE: 30 amp and 50 amp electric question

Get an adapter. I have stayed at CG's that only have 50A at some sites.

RE: built in gas latern in camper?

I had one in an old camper and it was wonderful but I don't think the latest RVIA "codes" allow them.
If I had a good place for one, I would sure install one anyway.

RE: Upgrade Tundra to F150 HD?

If your going to spend that kind of money, why not just buy a HD 3/4 or 1T P/U?
The cost will be similar especially if your willing to forgo some of the blingy junk.

RE: How does CW recruit, train, audit managers, technicians?

I figured they hire the same way the Major HW store I worked for (which claims to have knowledgeable people) did; "Do you have a pulse and will you work for minimum wage?"

RE: Red Dale Resurrection

We had a Red-Dale years ago - a late 60's unit. The woodwork and paneling in it was spectacular. In fact they seem to have saved the most beautiful piece of paneling for the ceiling above the bed so you had something to look at as you drifted off to sleep.
It was a well built rig but I just couldn't keep up with the leaks anymore and it succumbed to rot. It was a sad day when I delivered it to the dump.
I Too would like to see more pics!

RE: LEVEL?

Level the trailer by the fridge. Everything else will be close enough.
The fridge is the only thing that will cost you if too far out of level.

RE: Can I screw into the side of a microwave?

Yes, as long as your not penetrating into the cooking compartment. There's nothing but an air-space between the inner and outer walls and using short sheet-metal screws to secure it will be no problem.

A set of Bilstien shocks will help control the porpoising after everything else is adjusted. Worked for me.

RE: Surge Guard info

The most your SG could do is trip the CG's breaker.
I'm sure the long term moisture in your unit hastened its demise. Are they (SG) willing to do anything with it?

RE: North Cascades HWY 20 vs Hwy 2

US2 comes down Stevens Pass so you'll find a hill there as well. If I were given the choice, I'd take 20 and perhaps plan to stay in either Winthrop at the east end or Rasar State CG at the West end.
