GPS units from Walmart Internet

I know that many of you are buying GPS units for your motor home or tow vehicles. You must be very careful when you buy GPS units via the net from Walmart because they have a policy that prevents you from getting a refund or trading for a different unit after 15 days from the receipt of the unit. Also, I learned to my dismay that the internet part of Walmart is a diffenrent corporation than the walk-in stores. The stores will not assist you in any returns or upgrdes of usits that were purchased on the net. This is not exaxctly a customer friendly way to do business by Walmart stores or the internet supplier of Walmart because it causes the customer all sort of grief and inconvenience. Everyone that reads this post should seriously consider lodging a complaint against the corporate top brass of both business entities.

RE: Can you split a Satellite signal?

kc2Ki is absolutely correct. Your best bet is to get a dual LNB and a separate coax for the second TV with and additional receiver

RE: Getting New Class C First Motorhome

Slides are nice if you have more than two people regularly traveling and camping in your MH. However, if it is just you and your signifcant other than a unit without slides is probably just fine, also because you can get the units without slides cheaper due to less demand for them.

RE: RV.NET name badges available

I have read all these posts on the "RV. NET" badges but unless I missed it there is no reference to a web site where one can order these badges. How about giving us the address where we can order these badges?

RE: current RV interest rates?

I agree with icamp123. Your Motor Home qualifies as a 2nd home and yu are able to deduct on income tax tyhe same as any regular home if you itemize.

Good Sam Club Billing

I suspect tht many of you Good Sam Club members are in the same boat as I. It seems that in the last two years Good Sam has adopted a practice of billing for membership dues many months ahead of when the current membership actually expires. In my case I have received billings as early as 3 months ahead of time and a couple more many weeks ahead of time. I am not happy with this practice since it effectively provides Good Sam with unjust enrichment by being able to collect interest on the money that is paid ahead of time if it is paid prematurely. This practice may also cause your renewed membership to start prematurely and end prematurely because it may be activated in advance of when your current membership expires. I suggest that those of you that have observed the same problem complain loudly to Good Sam. Perhaps they will see the error or their ways and not take advantage of their members in this manner.

RE: Towing With Dinghy Engine Running

IN my experience i have come to the firm conclusion that if the manufacturer of the Toad states not to tow 4 wheels down, do not tow it that way no matter if they tell you why or why not. One reason: It voids the warranty.

As far as I know the Dan Gamel sales shop in Rocklin is in business again after being closed for 2-3 monhts or so. they farm their sevice work out to a generic RV shop in Auburn. I bought my last rig there and have no complaints.

RE: Newbie looking for E450, 26ft for family of 3. Any advise?

Having owned 3 diffeent class C MH's as well as other RV's, the best advice (note the spelling of "advice") I can give you is that your wife must like the floor plan above any other consideration that you may prefer. So look jointly at several brands and models and then decide after reading the post on this forum called "First time buyer--".
